Is the 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 Limited a good car?

With no expert test-drive data available here, your best read comes from the market itself: the 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 Limited is trading at $35,159 on average, and 30.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals. What should I look for when buying a used 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 Limited?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 82.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first, then inspect the truck closely for signs of prior damage, uneven wear, or poor repairs. Focus on overall condition, because even a strong market can hide big differences between similarly priced listings.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 Limited?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer's market, so you have room to shop but should still move quickly on the best listings.

• Deal availability: 30.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 933 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.64% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 82.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $35,159, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 Limited's resale value?

The current average of $35,159 sits slightly below last year's $39,789.

That price movement suggests the truck has become more affordable for buyers, but it also means future sellers may face a softer resale environment than they would have a year ago. If you buy at a strong price and keep the truck in clean condition, you can help protect your value later. For a future sale, condition and documentation will matter more when the market is already down from prior levels.

Should I buy a 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 Limited or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 30.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 82.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.64% compared with last year.

The bottom line:
The 2022 makes sense if you want a year with meaningful inventory and a softer price environment than last year. If you're especially price-sensitive, you should also compare nearby years and focus on the cleanest, best-priced listings rather than chasing a specific badge year.
