Is the 2022 Ford F-250 Super Duty a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Ford F-250 Super Duty earns a 4.9/5 user rating, which points to very strong owner satisfaction. Owners repeatedly praise its robust performance, impressive towing capacity, and advanced technology features, and many also call out the spacious interior and powerful engine. Is the 2022 Ford F-250 Super Duty reliable?

Owners rate it 4.9/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback also leans toward dependable ownership, with owners describing the truck as robust and praising its trouble-free-feeling performance and strong long-term capability. That kind of feedback matters for a used heavy-duty truck, because it suggests the ownership experience can stay reassuring even as mileage climbs. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about the truck’s core appeal and more about how hard a specific example has been worked.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Ford F-250 Super Duty?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 83.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first, then focus your inspection on signs of heavy use, towing wear, and overall condition. Because this is a work-oriented truck, pay close attention to the cabin, bed, suspension, and any evidence of hard hauling or commercial duty. A careful pre-purchase inspection is especially important if the truck has been modified or used for frequent towing.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Ford F-250 Super Duty?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 4,020 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.09% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 83.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $48,989, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Ford F-250 Super Duty's resale value?

The current average of $49,004 sits slightly below last year's $52,744.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can help you buy more carefully now but may also temper short-term resale upside. If you plan to sell later, the truck’s value will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well it has been maintained. Strong demand for capable heavy-duty pickups can still support future pricing, especially for well-kept examples.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Ford F-250 Super Duty or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 83.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.09% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $45,899, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $49,004 average.
• It emphasizes huge capability with broad trim and cab flexibility.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $56,164, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $49,004 average.
• It adds thoughtful updates and broader everyday usability.

The bottom line: You should start with the 2022 if you want the strongest mix of satisfaction, market availability, and modern features. If your budget is tighter, the 2021 is the better value play, while the 2023 makes sense if you want to spend more for a newer take on the same formula.
