How much does the 2022 Ford Bronco cost?

Prices have softened 9.36% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 4,504 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2022 Ford Bronco a good car?

Yes — you’re looking at a 4.5/5 model from owners and an 8/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Performance, and Form and function.

Owners consistently praise its performance, off-road capability, stylish design, comfort, tech features, and spaciousness. The main trade-offs are that some owners feel it is overpriced and that too many essential features are optional. For you, that means the Bronco makes the most sense if you want a rugged SUV that still works as an everyday vehicle and you’re comfortable paying for the right configuration. Good and great deals account for 35.2% of listings, so there is some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2022 Ford Bronco reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback points to a vehicle that feels dependable in the ways that matter most to buyers who plan to keep it for a while, especially if you value capability and everyday usability. The Bronco’s broad lineup and strong reputation also suggest it is built for long-term ownership appeal rather than short-term novelty. For used buyers, the main risk is paying too much for a well-liked SUV that can still be lightly equipped unless you choose carefully.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Ford Bronco?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.5% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and verify that the specific truck you’re considering matches the equipment you want, since many desirable features are packaged rather than standard. A pre-purchase inspection is especially important if you plan to use the Bronco the way it was designed to be used, because trail wear can show up in ways that aren’t obvious from photos. Focus on condition, feature content, and whether the trim you’re looking at includes the capability and safety equipment you expect.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup spans a very deep range of trims, with off-road capability increasing as price rises. Base models keep the Bronco’s core rugged character, but many advanced safety features are not standard and are instead tied to optional packages, so you should check carefully for feature gaps on lower trims.
• Powertrain: You can choose between a four-cylinder and a six-cylinder setup, and both are described as turbocharged. The Bronco is built around strong off-road performance, with four-wheel drive and an electronic two-speed transfer case supporting its capability.
• Safety package: The available driver-assistance content includes frontal collision warning with automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alerts, lane-keep assist, rear parking sensors, automatic high beams, front parking sensors, a surround-view camera system, adaptive cruise control, and evasive steering assist. Several of these features are not standard on the base trim.
• Infotainment: The Bronco uses Sync 4 with quick responses and sharp graphics. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, and the system is paired with helpful off-road apps.
• Fuel efficiency: The base four-cylinder is estimated at 20 mpg city and 21 mpg highway. The V6 is less efficient, with figures that can drop to 17 mpg combined depending on configuration.

Which 2022 Ford Bronco trim should I buy?

The 2022 Ford Bronco is offered in 7 trim levels: Base, Big Bend, Black Diamond, Outer Banks, Badlands, Wildtrak, and Everglades.

Here's the short version:

• Base: This is the entry point if you want the Bronco’s core off-road hardware and don’t mind building up from there. It makes the most sense if you’re focused on value and plan to add only the options you truly need.
• Big Bend: This is the trim to consider if you want a more balanced starting point without jumping too far up the price ladder. It should suit you if you want a Bronco that feels more complete for everyday use.
• Black Diamond: Choose this if you want a stronger off-road focus than the lower trims while staying below the more expensive models. It’s a good fit if trail use matters more than luxury touches.
• Outer Banks: This trim is the better pick if you want a more polished Bronco experience with a stronger emphasis on comfort and style. It suits you if you want capability without giving up too much on-road livability.
• Badlands: This is the trim to target if you want serious off-road hardware and are willing to pay for it. It’s the best-value choice for buyers who care most about capability.
• Wildtrak: Pick this if you want one of the most capable versions in the lineup and expect to spend more time pushing the Bronco hard. It’s aimed at buyers who want maximum trail confidence.
• Everglades: This is the most specialized trim, built for swamp trekking and deep water with additions like an intake snorkel, a Warn winch, and 35-inch mud-terrain tires. It makes sense if you want the most extreme factory setup in the lineup.

The safety package is strongest on higher trims and with optional packages, so check carefully for the equipment you want before you buy.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Ford Bronco?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.

• Deal availability: 35.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 4,504 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.36% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 90.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $36,936, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Ford Bronco's resale value?

The current average of $36,936 sits slightly below last year's $40,749.

That price movement suggests the Bronco has cooled from its earlier peak, which can help you as a buyer today but may limit upside if you’re thinking about near-term resale. If you buy at the right price and keep the vehicle in strong condition, you’ll be better positioned to protect value later. The Bronco’s broad appeal and strong demand should still help support used-market interest over time.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Ford Bronco safe?

The 2022 Ford Bronco earns Good ratings from IIHS and four-star ratings for frontal crash protection and three-star ratings for rollover protection from NHTSA.

It earns a 5/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety features include hill-start assist, hill descent control, and trailer sway control. Available driver-assistance features include frontal collision warning with automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alerts, lane-keep assist, rear parking sensors, automatic high beams, front parking sensors, a surround-view camera system, adaptive cruise control, and evasive steering assist. Several of those systems are not standard on the base trim, so you should verify package content carefully.

Should I buy a 2022 Ford Bronco or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 35.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.5% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.36% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2022 adds the Everglades and expands the lineup with broad body-style and trim variety.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $35,769, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $36,936 average.
• It emphasizes trail-focused capability with two powertrains and standard four-wheel drive.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $40,693, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $36,936 average.
• It broadens the lineup further and adds even more configuration variety.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of current pricing, broad inventory, and proven owner satisfaction, the 2022 is the smart default. If you’re trying to save money, the 2021 is the better value play; if you want the newest version and are willing to pay more, the 2023 is the upgrade path.

2022 Ford Bronco:
