The review summary points to a vehicle that owners find dependable in daily use, with praise centered on its smooth ride and strong overall ownership experience. That kind of feedback matters if you want a used SUV you can count on for regular family duty.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about the rating and more about how well the vehicle was maintained before you buy it.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Dodge Durango?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 82.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first, then focus on a pre-purchase inspection that checks for signs of wear, prior damage, and uneven maintenance. Because this model year can appeal to buyers across a wide range of trims and powertrains, condition matters a lot when comparing listings.

Pay extra attention to service records and overall cosmetic and mechanical condition so you can separate a well-kept example from one that has been used hard.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Dodge Durango?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay patient.

• Deal availability: 35.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,743 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.18% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 82.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $30,041, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Dodge Durango's resale value?

The current average of $30,041 sits slightly below last year's $32,715.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point. For a future seller, that also means resale performance will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle has been maintained.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.86/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Dodge Durango or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 35.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 82.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.18% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.86/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $26,664, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $30,041 average.
• It adds a new infotainment system and strong performance options.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $33,380, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $30,041 average.
• It adds standard heated front seats and a regular-production Hellcat.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, satisfaction, and available inventory, the 2022 is the primary path to consider. If your budget is tighter, the 2021 is the better value play, while the 2023 makes sense if you want to spend more for newer features and a more aggressive performance lineup.
