For the 2022 model year, revisions to the Durango include standard blind-spot monitoring and rear cross path detection on all trims. The Durango SXT and GT trims get a heavy dose of new standard equipment, including three-row, seven-passenger seating, a power driver’s seat, ParkSense rear park assist system and bright roof rails on the SXT, and remote start, heated front seats and steering wheel, and a power liftgate on the GT. The five-times-faster Uconnect 5 infotainment system is available on the largest-in-class 10.1-inch touchscreen, which houses SRT Performance Pages on select models.

The Durango is available in seven trim levels: SXT, GT, GT Plus, R/T, R/T Plus, Citadel, and SRT 392. All trims are available in either a rear-wheel drive (RWD) or an extra-cost all-wheel drive (AWD) configuration with the exception of the SRT 392, which comes standard with AWD.

The base 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine is standard on Durango SXT, GT, and Citadel. It’s rated at up to 295 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque.

A 5.7-liter HEMI V8 engine is standard on the Durango R/T and available on the Citadel; it produces 360 horsepower and 390 lb-ft of torque.

The 392-cubic-inch HEMI V8 engine on the Durango SRT 392 delivers 475 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque, 4.4-second zero-60 mph acceleration, and an NHRA-certified 12.9-second quarter-mile time.

All Durango trims feature a standard TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission.

Trims equipped with V8 engines and the Tow N Go Package offer the most towing capacity of any three-row, full-size SUV, at 8,700 pounds. 3.6-liter Pentastar V6-powered Durango trims have a towing capability of 6,200 pounds.

Trims with the HEMI V8 engine, AWD, and the optional Trailer Tow Package feature a low-range transfer case with a neutral position that makes the Durango one of just a handful of vehicles that can be flat-towed behind an RV without damaging powertrain components.

All Durango trims feature a wrapped and accent-stitched mid-bolster on the instrument panel. Durango GT trims and up offer an available wrapped instrument panel included in the Premium Group, which is standard on R/T Plus.

On all trims north of the SXT, Dodge offers a suite of optional safety features including adaptive cruise Control, forward collision warning with active braking, advanced brake assist, and LaneSense lane-departure warning with lane-keep assist. These features are part of the Plus packages on GT trims, part of the Technology Group on SRT 392, and standard on Citadel.

Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard on all Durango models. Wireless charging is available on the GT with the optional Premium Group and standard on R/T, Citadel, and SRT 392. With the available Uconnect LTE Wi-Fi Package, owners with Alexa-enabled devices at home can ask Alexa to start the car and lock or unlock doors remotely.

SXT trims feature seven-passenger seating. GT and R/T trims feature seven-passenger seating standard, with available captain’s chairs in the middle row. Citadel and SRT 392 trims feature seating for six with standard captain’s chairs in the middle row.

The 2022 Dodge Durango starts at $36,995 for the SXT trim in RWD, and $38,995 for SXT AWD. GT costs $39,990 for RWD and $41,990 for AWD. GT PLUS starts at $44,090 for RWD and $46,990 for AWD. R/T trims start at $49,795 with RWD and $51,795 with AWD. R/T PLUS costs $54,790 with RWD and $56,790 with AWD, Citadel costs $51,195 with RWD and $53,195 with AWD, and the range-topping SRT 392 clocks in at $68,590.
