Should I buy a 2022 Dodge Challenger or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 31.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 79.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.72/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $31,492, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $33,547 average.
• It emphasizes straight-line speed and performance value.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $43,045, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $33,547 average.
• It adds final-year special editions and more power.

The bottom line: The 2022 is the best all-around starting point if you want strong owner satisfaction, stable pricing, and a broad used-market selection. If your priority is saving money, the 2021 is the better secondary path; if you want the most dramatic sendoff and can stretch your budget, the 2023 is the premium alternative.
