Used 2022 Cadillac XT6 for Sale near New York

How much does the 2022 Cadillac XT6 cost?

Prices have softened 16.63% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 956 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2022 Cadillac XT6 a good car?

Yes — with a 5/5 user rating and a 6.3/10 expert rating, the 2022 Cadillac XT6 lands in a strong middle ground for luxury-SUV shoppers. The standout strength is Safety at 10/10.

The XT6’s appeal is rooted in its comfortable ride, impressive technology, and full-size feel without moving all the way up to an Escalade. It is best suited to you if you want refinement and utility more than style or driving excitement.

The trade-offs are clear: the styling is uninspired, the performance is fairly pedestrian, and the third row is cramped. Even so, the market shows 38.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2022 Cadillac XT6 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The XT6’s overall package points to a vehicle that prioritizes comfort, technology, and safety over flash. Its expert assessment also emphasizes that Cadillac’s execution is much better here than in the brand’s past rush-job efforts, which is encouraging if you want a more polished ownership experience.

The performance content describes the XT6 as sufficiently powerful in V6 form, with a quiet and isolated powertrain that filters out drivetrain noise well. That kind of refinement usually matters in day-to-day ownership because it helps the vehicle feel composed over time.

If you’re buying used, the main long-term risk is that the XT6’s more advanced tech and luxury features can make repairs and upkeep more consequential than on a simpler SUV.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Cadillac XT6?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 75.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the report carefully, because a clean listing percentage does not replace a proper history review. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the vehicle has advanced driver-assistance features or higher-mileage luxury equipment. Focus on overall condition, interior wear, and whether the technology and safety systems operate as intended.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Luxury, Premium Luxury, and Sport trims differ in presentation and equipment, and the base setup is less richly equipped than the higher trims.
• Powertrain: The XT6 uses a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder in standard form, while Premium Luxury and Sport trims use a 3.6-liter V6; the V6 is the stronger and more satisfying choice.
• Safety package: The available Super Cruise system is the headline feature, and standard highlights include forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, and lane-keeping assist.
• Infotainment: The XT6 uses an 8-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, connected services, WiFi hotspot access, and available embedded navigation.
• Fuel efficiency: The V6 with AWD is rated at 21 mpg in combined driving.

Which 2022 Cadillac XT6 trim should I buy?

The 2022 Cadillac XT6 is offered in 3 trim levels: Luxury, Premium Luxury, and Sport.

Here's the short version:

• Luxury: This is the entry point, and it gives you the XT6’s core three-row luxury-SUV formula without the higher-price extras. It makes sense if you want the XT6’s comfort and space at the lowest starting point.
• Premium Luxury: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds the more desirable V6 powertrain and a richer overall feel. It is the trim that best matches the XT6’s comfort-first mission.
• Sport: Choose this if you want the sportier appearance and the more performance-oriented setup described in the test data, including the available Brembo brake upgrade.

The available Super Cruise system is the standout safety and tech upgrade, and it is worth seeking out if you want the most advanced driver-assistance setup.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Cadillac XT6?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay patient.

• Deal availability: 38.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 956 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.63% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 75.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $28,252, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Cadillac XT6's resale value?

The current average of $28,252 sits slightly below last year's $33,888.

That decline suggests the XT6 has become more affordable for used buyers, but it also means a future seller may need to price competitively to stand out. If you buy at the current average or below, you may have a better chance of limiting depreciation exposure over your ownership period.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Cadillac XT6 safe?

The 2022 Cadillac XT6 earns a Top Safety Pick+ rating from the IIHS and five-star ratings in every crash-test evaluation from NHTSA, plus a four-star rollover resistance rating.

It earns a 10/10 safety score from our experts.

The XT6’s safety equipment includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, and lane-keeping assist. Adaptive cruise control and a semi-autonomous park assist system are available, and the available Super Cruise system is the headline driver-assistance feature.

One caveat is that Super Cruise is impressive but not flawless, so you should treat it as a support system rather than a substitute for active driving attention.

Should I buy a 2022 Cadillac XT6 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 38.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 75.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.63% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2022 stands out for its strong safety score and available Super Cruise technology.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $25,567, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $28,252 average.
• It offers a familiar formula with a premium feel, manageable footprint, and strong handling.

The bottom line: If you want the better current-market value and the strongest safety/tech package, the 2022 is the better pick. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2021 is the more budget-friendly alternative.
