How much does the 2022 Cadillac XT6 cost?

Prices have softened 14.79% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,011 listings available, which gives you a solid pool to compare prices and equipment.

Is the 2022 Cadillac XT6 a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Cadillac XT6 earns a 5/5 user rating and a 6.33/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Safety at 10/10.

It fits you best if you want a midsize, three-row luxury SUV with a comfortable ride, impressive technology, and strong safety credentials. The trade-offs are clear: the styling is uninspired and the third row is cramped, while performance is fairly pedestrian.

The market also looks workable, with 36.3% of listings marked as good or great deals.

Is the 2022 Cadillac XT6 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The XT6 is presented as a polished family hauler with a comfortable ride and a well-executed cabin experience, which supports confidence in day-to-day ownership. Its expert assessment also points to a refined, quiet driving character and a solid overall package for shoppers who value comfort over excitement.

The performance notes describe the V6 as sufficiently powerful and the cabin as well isolated from unwanted noise, which are both good signs for everyday dependability. If you buy used, your biggest long-term risk is choosing a poorly maintained example with expensive options or neglected wear items.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Cadillac XT6?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 77.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on any XT6 you’re considering, even if the listing looks clean. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that checks the suspension, electronics, and interior controls, since this model leans heavily on technology and comfort features. Focus on overall condition, because the right example should feel well-kept rather than merely well-equipped.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Luxury, Premium Luxury, and Sport trims differ in presentation and equipment, and the base trim is the one most likely to feel light on luxury touches compared with the higher trims.
• Powertrain: The XT6 uses a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder in standard form, while Premium Luxury and Sport trims use a 3.6-liter V6; the V6 is the better fit if you want stronger everyday performance.
• Safety package: The available Super Cruise system is the headline driver-assistance feature, and the standard list includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, and lane-keeping assist.
• Infotainment: The 8-inch touchscreen includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, connected services, and an available embedded navigation system, but the screen is smaller than many rivals and there’s no digital gauge cluster.
• Fuel efficiency: The V6 with AWD is rated at 21 mpg in combined driving, and testing returned 19.5 mpg.

Which 2022 Cadillac XT6 trim should I buy?

The 2022 Cadillac XT6 is offered in 3 trim levels: Luxury, Premium Luxury, and Sport.

Here's the short version:

• Luxury: This is the entry point, and it gives you the XT6’s core three-row layout and standard turbocharged four-cylinder power. It makes sense if you want the lowest starting point, but it’s also the trim most likely to leave you wanting more equipment and presence.
• Premium Luxury: This is the best-value choice for most shoppers because it adds the 3.6-liter V6 and a more upscale feel without pushing you all the way to the sportier trim. It’s the trim that best matches the XT6’s comfort-first mission.
• Sport: Choose this if you want the V6 plus a more aggressive appearance and a more driver-focused setup. It suits you best if style matters as much as comfort.

The safety package is strong across the lineup, and the available Super Cruise system is the standout feature to look for if you want the most advanced driver assistance.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Cadillac XT6?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 36.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,011 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.79% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 77.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $29,224, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Cadillac XT6's resale value?

The current average of $29,224 sits slightly below last year's $34,296.

That decline suggests the XT6 has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help future sellers if they buy at the right price today. If you purchase near the current average or below it, you may have a better chance of limiting your loss when it’s time to sell. The strongest resale prospects usually come from well-kept examples with desirable equipment and clean history records.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Cadillac XT6 safe?

The 2022 Cadillac XT6 earns a Top Safety Pick+ rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety and five-star ratings in every crash-test evaluation from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, plus a four-star rollover resistance rating.

It earns a 10/10 safety score from our experts.

The XT6’s standard safety equipment includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, and lane-keeping assist. The available Super Cruise system is the headline driver-assistance feature, and it adds hands-free highway driving capability with driver monitoring.

One caveat is that Super Cruise is impressive but not flawless, so you should treat it as an assist system rather than a substitute for attention.

Should I buy a 2022 Cadillac XT6 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 36.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 77.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.79% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2022 stands out for its strong safety credentials, comfortable ride, and impressive technology.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $26,061, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $29,224 average.
• It offers a premium-feeling three-row layout with broad appeal and a spacious third row.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger shopping position, the 2022 is the better primary target because pricing has softened and the safety and tech story is compelling. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2021 is the better price-sensitive alternative, especially if you find one in excellent condition.
