How much does the 2022 BMW X5 M cost?

Is the 2022 BMW X5 M a good car?

Yes — the 5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. The 2022 BMW X5 M is positioned as the high-performance version of BMW’s midsize luxury SUV, so you get serious pace and chassis tuning rather than a typical family-hauler feel. It also benefits from the broader fourth-generation X5’s everyday strengths, including a modern cabin and premium technology, while still prioritizing on-road performance over off-road use. With 37.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2022 BMW X5 M reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. The 2022 BMW X5 M is described as part of the broader fourth-generation X5 family, which brings a modern cabin and the kind of premium equipment you would expect in this segment. Its performance focus and V8 power make it a specialized SUV, so you should expect ownership to be more demanding than a mainstream crossover. For used buyers, that means long-term risk is less about basic appeal and more about making sure the specific vehicle has been well maintained.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 BMW X5 M?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 84.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a full history report so you can confirm the car’s background before you commit. A pre-purchase inspection matters here because this is a high-performance SUV, and you want to evaluate condition carefully rather than relying on appearance alone. Focus on signs of wear, maintenance consistency, and whether the vehicle has been treated like the performance model it is.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 BMW X5 M?

This is a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting a deep bargain on every listing.

• Deal availability: 37.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 153 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.62% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 84.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $62,831, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 BMW X5 M's resale value?

The current average of $62,831 sits slightly below last year's $70,298.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy with less risk of immediate overpayment. For a future seller, the softer pricing means resale value may depend more heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle has been maintained. If you buy carefully now, you may be better positioned to preserve value later. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 BMW X5 M or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 37.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 84.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.62% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2022 is the right pick if you want the X5 M’s performance-first character and you find a clean example at a competitive price. If you are more price-sensitive, a nearby model year may give you a lower entry point, but you should still compare condition, history, and deal quality before deciding.
