Is the 2022 Alfa Romeo Giulia a good car?

Yes — 5/5 is a strong user rating for this model year, and it fits the Giulia’s driver-focused character and strong performance. The overview also points to a bargain-friendly used luxury sedan for the right buyer, especially if you value style and driving enjoyment over the latest tech. It is best suited to you if you want a sporty compact luxury sedan and are willing to shop carefully for a well-maintained example. 37.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to find value.

Is the 2022 Alfa Romeo Giulia reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview says the 2022 model year is part of the group that is likely to be more reliable and to have more standard features than earlier examples. It also notes that the 2020 refresh improved software reliability and added useful equipment, which helps the 2022 feel more mature than older versions. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is still the model’s reputation for quirks, so condition and maintenance history matter a lot.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Alfa Romeo Giulia?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 78.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first, then focus on a pre-purchase inspection that checks for signs of neglect or inconsistent maintenance. Pay close attention to overall condition, because the best used Giulia is the one that has been cared for consistently rather than simply priced attractively. It is also smart to confirm the presence and operation of the features you want, since some advanced safety equipment was optional.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Alfa Romeo Giulia?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient and focused.

• Deal availability: 37.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 253 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.52% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 78.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $22,760, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Alfa Romeo Giulia's resale value?

The current average of $22,760 sits slightly below last year's $24,880.

That price drop suggests the Giulia is still depreciating, which can be good for you as a buyer but less favorable if you are thinking about future trade-in value. If you plan to sell later, the model’s current pricing gives you a lower entry point, but it also means you should expect resale pressure to remain a factor. Strong condition and careful maintenance will matter more than usual when it is time to move on.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Alfa Romeo Giulia or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 37.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 78.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.52% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $19,316, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $22,760 average.
• It emphasizes performance-first driving with an attractive cabin and strong cornering feel.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2022 if you want the better-balanced choice with newer features and a still-reasonable used price. If your priority is saving money above all else, the 2021 is the better value play, especially if you are comfortable giving up some of the 2022’s added refinement.
