The Alfa Romeo Giulia first came to the U.S. in 2017 and has received only minor changes since. It competes in the compact luxury sedan class, where its primary rivals include the BMW 3 Series, the Mercedes-Benz C-Class, the Audi A4, the Genesis G70, and the Lexus IS. The 2026 Alfa Romeo Giulia has a single trim and an available Veloce Package.

What’s New for the 2026 Alfa Romeo Giulia
Though the Giulia has received very few changes in its nine-year lifespan in the U.S., it did get a slight refresh in 2024 with Matrix LED headlights, a revised front fascia, and a new 12.3-inch digital cluster, but the 2026 model year is essentially a carryover. The big changes are that the Tributo Italiano trim and Intensa package from 2025 are no longer available.
Design
The Scudetto grille on Alfa Romeo vehicles gives them a unique and recognizable face, and the curved lines on the hood, sides, and rear of the Giulia help to set it apart from the more austere lines of some competitors. The 2026 Giulia offers a Veloce Package ($1,625) that includes both visual and performance components. It includes aluminum paddle shifters, gloss-red brake calipers, a limited-slip differential, and 19-inch wheels (which adds an additional $1,750 to $2,250, depending on wheel selection). Standard wheels are 18 inches.
Powertrain
Since the Quadrifoglio disappeared from the U.S. lineup after 2024, the 2026 Giulia has just a single powertrain—a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four engine that delivers 280 horsepower and 306 pound-feet of torque paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The Giulia is rear-wheel-drive (RWD) as standard but is available with all-wheel drive (AWD) for $2,000. Fuel economy varies by drivetrain, with RWD models getting 24 mpg in the city and 33 mpg on the highway, and AWD models getting 23 mpg and 31 mpg, respectively.

Interior
One of the Alfa Romeo hallmarks is the push-button start on the steering wheel, which regularly confounds valets everywhere. The Giulia's interior is very driver-focused and, depending on taste, could be called dated because of its small infotainment screen. Standard seating surfaces are black leather. Sport seats are available with black or red leather, and a dual-pane sunroof is a $1,500 option. The Giulia is a compact five-passenger sedan, and in the middle of the pack for rear-seat legroom, so tall passengers may not be comfy back there. It does, however, offer better-than-average trunk space at 13.4 cubic feet.
Technology
The Alfa Romeo Giulia is a driver's car, so tech features aren't the focus. The standard, and only, infotainment screen is 8.8 inches, and while it comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, it looks very small on the tiny screen. Other standard tech features include navigation, a 12.3-inch digital cluster, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and heated windshield washer nozzles. A 14-speaker Harman Kardon premium audio system is available for $2,250.
