Used 2021 Toyota Venza for Sale nearAustin, TX

How much does the 2021 Toyota Venza cost?

Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.

There are 530 listings available, which gives you a moderate amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2021 Toyota Venza a good car?

Yes — you’re looking at a 4.67/5 user-rated SUV with an 8.33/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Form and function, Cost effectiveness, and Safety.

Drivers consistently praise its luxurious feel, advanced safety features, fuel economy, comfortable ride, and extensive technology options. That lines up with the Venza’s upscale, two-row, efficiency-first mission, especially if you want something more refined than a typical Toyota without moving up to a larger SUV. The main trade-offs are price, cargo space, and seat comfort, while the expert review also points to fairly pedestrian performance and poor visibility. Even so, 34.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are still attractive opportunities in the market.

Is the 2021 Toyota Venza reliable?

Owners rate it 4.67/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with drivers repeatedly highlighting the Venza’s fuel economy, comfortable ride, and advanced safety features. The expert review also reinforces that sense of everyday confidence by describing the hybrid setup as smooth and the driving experience as predictable and easy to live with. Toyota backs the hybrid powertrain with long warranty coverage, which adds another layer of reassurance for used buyers. For long-term ownership, your biggest risk is less about mechanical drama and more about whether the Venza’s space, comfort, and price fit your needs.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Toyota Venza?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 80.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because a clean listing percentage does not replace a proper records review. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on the hybrid system, cabin condition, and any signs of wear that could affect comfort or visibility. Since this model is often chosen for refinement and efficiency, pay close attention to how well the interior, ride quality, and driver-assistance features have held up.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The LE comes standard with an 8-inch infotainment screen, wireless charging, fabric-trimmed seats, and a broad set of standard convenience features, while the XLE adds heated front seats, SofTex bolsters, a 7-inch driver display, and other comfort upgrades. The Limited adds the 12.3-inch screen, digital rearview mirror, and additional premium touches, making it the best-value choice if you want the most upscale cabin.
• Powertrain: The Venza uses a 2.5-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine paired with a lithium-ion battery pack and electric motors through an eCVT. It delivers 219 horsepower combined and 163 pound-feet of torque, with smooth acceleration and strong fuel economy.
• Safety package: Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 is standard and includes pre-collision warning with pedestrian detection and automatic emergency braking, lane-departure alert with steering assist, lane-tracing assist, automatic high beams, adaptive cruise control, and road sign assist. Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is standard, while similar technology with automatic braking is standard on the XLE and Limited.
• Infotainment: The LE and XLE use an 8-inch touchscreen, while the Limited gets a 12.3-inch display. Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Amazon Alexa, and a Wi-Fi hotspot are standard, and the larger screen adds dynamic navigation.
• Fuel efficiency: The Venza achieves an EPA-estimated 40 mpg on the highway, 37 mpg in the city, and 39 mpg combined.

Which 2021 Toyota Venza trim should I buy?

The 2021 Toyota Venza is offered in 3 trim levels: LE, XLE, and Limited.

Here's the short version:

• LE: This is the entry point, but it still comes well equipped with an 8-inch infotainment screen, wireless charging, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Amazon Alexa, and a full set of standard safety tech. It makes sense if you want the Venza’s core efficiency and comfort without paying for extras.
• XLE: This trim adds heated front seats, SofTex bolsters, a larger driver display, and more upscale exterior and interior details. It’s the best-value trim if you want a noticeable step up in comfort and convenience without jumping to the top price.
• Limited: This is the most premium version, with the 12.3-inch touchscreen, digital rearview mirror, JBL audio, and additional luxury touches. Choose it if you want the most refined Venza experience and are willing to pay for it.

Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 is standard across the lineup, and blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert comes standard on every trim.

• Inventory: There are 530 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $25,247, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Toyota Venza's resale value?

The current average of $26,982 sits slightly below last year's $27,045.

That small decline suggests the Venza has been holding value fairly steadily rather than swinging sharply up or down. For a future seller, that kind of price stability is helpful because it points to a market that is easier to predict. The Venza’s strong fuel economy, standard all-wheel drive, and upscale appeal should continue to support demand among used buyers who want efficiency without giving up comfort.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.67/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

You also get eight airbags, a rearview camera, hill start assist, parking distance sensors, tire pressure monitoring, and adjustable front seatbelt anchors. Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is standard, while similar technology with automatic braking is standard on the XLE and Limited. The expert review notes that the lane-keeping and lane-tracing systems can keep the SUV a little farther to the right than some rivals, even though they read lane lines well.

Should I buy a 2021 Toyota Venza or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 34.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 80.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.67/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It pairs standard hybrid efficiency with standard all-wheel drive and an upscale, Lexus-like cabin.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $28,700, the 2022 costs more than the current year's $26,982 average.
• It keeps the same hybrid-and-AWD formula while adding a slightly updated package of value and refinement.

The bottom line: If you want the better price today, the 2021 is the smarter buy because it combines stable pricing, strong owner satisfaction, and a well-equipped standard feature set. If you’re willing to spend more for a newer model year, the 2022 is the cleaner alternative, but price-sensitive buyers should focus on the 2021 and look for a listing near the low end of the range.
