Used 2021 Toyota Tundra for Sale nearAtlanta, GA

How much does the 2021 Toyota Tundra cost?

Prices have softened 1.83% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,903 listings available, which suggests you have a meaningful amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2021 Toyota Tundra a good car?

Yes — the 2021 Toyota Tundra earns a 4.5/5 user rating and a 7.3/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Safety at 9/10.

Owners consistently praise its spacious cabin, powerful performance, smooth ride, comfort, and reliability. The expert review also frames it as a truck that stays relevant through practical updates, especially for shoppers who want durability and capability more than the newest design trends.

The trade-offs are clear: fuel economy is poor, the technology feels outdated in places, and the bed and cab choices are limited. If you want a full-size pickup that leans on proven fundamentals, the Tundra fits that use case well.

With 36.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is enough market activity to make comparison shopping worthwhile.

Is the 2021 Toyota Tundra reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback repeatedly points to reliability, dependability, and a trouble-free ownership experience, along with praise for its simple, solid construction. The expert review also emphasizes that Toyota kept the truck relevant with updates while preserving its rugged, long-term character.

That said, used buyers should still watch for wear tied to age and mileage, especially because this is an older design in a segment that has moved on quickly.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Toyota Tundra?

At 72.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a close inspection of bodywork, frame condition, and signs of uneven wear. Because this truck is often bought for work and towing, condition matters as much as mileage. A pre-purchase inspection is especially smart if the truck has been used hard or modified.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The SR is the most basic version, with halogen headlights, steel wheels, manual climate control, cloth seating, and a simpler cabin setup. The SR5 adds power-adjustable front seats and a larger touchscreen, while the Limited brings more comfort and convenience features that make it the best-value choice for many shoppers.
• Powertrain: The Tundra uses a 5.7-liter V8 with rear-wheel drive and available four-wheel drive. It delivers strong acceleration and confident towing, but the trade-off is poor fuel economy.
• Safety package: Safety Sense P is standard and includes forward-collision warning and avoidance, pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning, automatic high beams, and adaptive cruise control. Blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and parking sensors are optional.
• Infotainment: A standard 7-inch touchscreen includes Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Amazon Alexa. An available 8-inch screen adds navigation, and the system also includes Bluetooth, USB ports, and WiFi hotspot capability.
• Fuel efficiency: The rear-wheel-drive model returns 13 mpg city and 17 mpg highway, while the four-wheel-drive version also returns 13 mpg city and 17 mpg highway.

Which 2021 Toyota Tundra trim should I buy?

The 2021 Toyota Tundra is offered in 6 trim levels: SR, SR5, Limited, TRD Pro, Platinum, and 1794 Edition.

Here's the short version:

• SR: This is the value-focused starting point, but it is also the most stripped-down version. It makes sense if you want the lowest entry price and can live without the extra comfort and tech upgrades.
• SR5: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds power-adjustable front seats and a larger touchscreen without jumping too far up the price ladder.
• Limited: This is the trim to target if you want the most balanced mix of comfort and convenience. It adds leather upholstery, dual-zone climate control, 20-inch wheels, and a 10-way power driver’s seat.
• TRD Pro: Choose this if you want the most off-road-focused setup in the lineup, with a lift, Fox shocks, all-terrain tires, skid plates, and a TRD exhaust.
• Platinum: This is the luxury-leaning choice, with heated and ventilated front seats, premium trim details, and more upscale exterior touches.
• 1794 Edition: This is closely related to the Platinum in content, but with its own visual and interior character for buyers who want a more distinctive look.

Safety Sense P is standard across the lineup, so you get the core driver-assistance suite even on the lower trims.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Toyota Tundra?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory and deal activity to reward careful shopping.

• Deal availability: 36.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,903 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.83% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 72.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $36,551, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Toyota Tundra's resale value?

The current average of $37,741 sits slightly below last year's $38,445.

That modest decline suggests the market has softened a bit, which can help you as a buyer today but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. Even so, the drop is not dramatic, so the Tundra is still holding value reasonably well for a used full-size pickup. Strong demand for durable trucks and the model’s loyal following should continue to support pricing.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2021 Toyota Tundra safe?

The 2021 Toyota Tundra earns a Top Safety Pick+ rating from IIHS and five-star ratings from NHTSA.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Safety Sense P is standard and includes forward-collision warning and avoidance, pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning, automatic high beams, and adaptive cruise control. Standard safety equipment also includes eight airbags, tire pressure monitoring, trailer sway control, and an integrated trailer brake controller. Optional features include blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and front and rear parking sensors.

Should I buy a 2021 Toyota Tundra or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 36.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 72.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.83% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2021 keeps the old-school V8 formula while adding modern infotainment and standard safety tech.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $35,995, the 2020 costs less than the current year's $37,741 average.
• It emphasizes reliability and long-term durability.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $37,796, the 2022 costs more than the current year's $37,741 average.
• It brings a fully redesigned truck with more modern hardware and broader configuration choices.

The bottom line: If you want the proven V8 Tundra with modern safety and infotainment, the 2021 is the sweet spot. If price is your top priority, the 2020 is the better value play; if you want the newest design and more modern capability, look to the 2022.
