Used 2021 Mercedes-Benz CLA for Sale near Texas

How much does the 2021 Mercedes-Benz CLA cost?

Prices have softened 10.24% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 333 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2021 Mercedes-Benz CLA a good car?

Yes — the 2021 Mercedes-Benz CLA earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.67/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Technology.

The CLA stands out as a compact luxury sedan with sharp styling, a high-class interior, and an advanced user interface. It is especially appealing if you want a premium presentation and engaging driving character in a small footprint.

The trade-offs are clear: the back seat is cramped, and the car is described as poor value for money. That means it makes the most sense if you care more about style, technology, and driving enjoyment than rear-seat space or bargain pricing.

The market shows 36.0% of listings as good or great deals, which suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2021 Mercedes-Benz CLA reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The CLA is presented as a major improvement over the original version, with the current generation carrying forward the progress made in the redesign. Its turbocharged powertrains and modern cabin presentation support the impression of a more mature, better-executed small luxury car.

The performance notes emphasize energetic driving character and a well-weighted steering feel, while the cabin technology is described as advanced and easy to live with once you learn it. That combination points to a car that feels thoughtfully engineered rather than merely badge-driven.

Long-term ownership risk for used buyers is mainly about whether the car was maintained well and whether its premium features still work as intended.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Mercedes-Benz CLA?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 75.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because a clean title percentage does not replace a proper inspection. Pay close attention to the cabin, infotainment operation, and any signs that the car has been used hard or neglected.

A pre-purchase inspection is especially important if you are considering a higher-trim car with more equipment, since premium features can be costly to sort out later.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The CLA 250 includes dual-zone automatic climate control, remote start, synthetic leather upholstery, five USB ports, power-adjustable sport seats, and HD radio. The AMG CLA 35 and AMG CLA 45 add the Premium Package equipment, so the base trim is the one most likely to feel light on convenience and screen size.
• Powertrain: The CLA 250 uses a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 221 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. The AMG CLA 35 raises output to 302 hp and 295 lb-ft, while the AMG CLA 45 delivers 382 hp and 354 lb-ft for the quickest performance.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, blind-spot monitoring, driver attention monitoring, and crosswind assist. The Driver Assistance package adds adaptive cruise control, rear collision braking, lane departure warning, and rear cross-traffic alert, while adaptive headlights and parking aids are separate options.
• Infotainment: The standard MBUX system uses a 7-inch digital instrument panel and 7-inch center touchscreen, with available 10.25-inch screens in the Premium Package. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, but wireless CarPlay and Android Auto are not available.
• Fuel efficiency: The base FWD CLA 250 returns 25 mpg city, 35 mpg highway, and 29 mpg combined. The CLA 250 4Matic returns 24 mpg city, 33 mpg highway, and 27 mpg combined, the AMG CLA 35 returns 22 mpg city, 29 mpg highway, and 25 mpg combined, and the AMG CLA 45 returns 20 mpg city, 29 mpg highway, and 23 mpg combined.

Which 2021 Mercedes-Benz CLA trim should I buy?

The 2021 Mercedes-Benz CLA is offered in 3 trim levels: CLA 250, AMG CLA 35, and AMG CLA 45.

Here's the short version:

• CLA 250: This is the best-value choice if you want the CLA’s style, technology, and premium feel without paying for the AMG upgrades. It already brings the core luxury features and the standard MBUX setup, so it covers the essentials well.
• AMG CLA 35: Choose this if you want a stronger performance edge and are willing to pay for it. It adds more power and keeps the CLA’s upscale presentation, making it the middle ground for buyers who want more excitement.
• AMG CLA 45: This is the pick for maximum performance, with the most powerful engine and the quickest acceleration in the lineup. It makes sense if driving performance matters more to you than value.

The Driver Assistance package is optional across the lineup, so you should check whether a used example has it if advanced safety features matter to you.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Mercedes-Benz CLA?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient.

• Deal availability: 36.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 333 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.24% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 75.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $24,103, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Mercedes-Benz CLA's resale value?

The current average of $24,211 sits slightly below last year's $26,974.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer today but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you buy at the right price, you reduce the chance of taking a steep depreciation hit from here.

The CLA’s premium badge, strong styling, and desirable tech help support demand, especially for shoppers who want a compact luxury sedan with personality. A well-kept example should remain easier to move than a less distinctive alternative.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2021 Mercedes-Benz CLA safe?

The CLA earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

It comes with a solid standard safety suite that includes automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, blind-spot monitoring, driver attention monitoring, and crosswind assist. The Driver Assistance package adds adaptive cruise control, rear collision braking, lane departure warning, and rear cross-traffic alert.

That package structure matters because several desirable features are not standard, so you should confirm whether a used example has the options you want. Adaptive headlights, parallel park assist, and the surround-view parking monitor are also separate add-ons.

Should I buy a 2021 Mercedes-Benz CLA or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 36.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 75.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.24% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2021 carries forward the redesigned CLA’s sharp styling, energetic performance, and high-class interior.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $21,361, the 2020 costs less than the current year's $24,211 average.
• It was redesigned for 2020 and brought a more upscale feel to the CLA nameplate.

The bottom line: If you want the better-balanced buy, the 2021 is the stronger choice because it combines a lower current average price with solid inventory and strong owner satisfaction. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2020 is the better price-sensitive path, especially if you find one in good condition.
