Used 2021 Mercedes-Benz C-Class for Sale near Illinois

How much does the 2021 Mercedes-Benz C-Class cost?

Prices have softened 9.18% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,335 listings available, which suggests you have a solid pool of used examples to compare.

Is the 2021 Mercedes-Benz C-Class a good car?

Yes — the 5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. The 2021 Mercedes-Benz C-Class stands out as a compact luxury sedan that leans hard into upscale presentation, strong performance, and a cabin that feels borrowed from a larger Mercedes. It uses rear-wheel-drive architecture by design, with 4Matic all-wheel drive optional, and its interior is built around a large 11.9-inch tablet-style touchscreen, a 12.3-inch digital instrument display, ambient lighting, and standard wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Mercedes also gives it a longer wheelbase for better interior space and solid rear legroom, while the cabin design and materials are meant to feel more premium than before. That makes it especially appealing if you want a premium badge, modern tech, and a refined driving experience in a relatively compact package. 36.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2021 Mercedes-Benz C-Class reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. The 2021 Mercedes-Benz C-Class is also described as a well-equipped safety and tech package for the class, with standard blind-spot monitoring, a head-up display, and automatic emergency braking, plus available adaptive cruise control and lane centering. The model has also earned “Top Safety Pick” or “Top Safety Pick+” ratings every year it has been on sale, which adds confidence if safety matters to you. Even so, it is still a Mercedes, so complexity and maintenance costs remain part of the ownership picture. For used buyers, that means long-term ownership risk is more about upkeep and repair exposure than basic capability.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Mercedes-Benz C-Class?

At 74.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important. You should run a vehicle history report on any car you’re seriously considering and confirm whether prior damage was cosmetic or structural. Put inspection priority on the cabin electronics, infotainment behavior, and any driver-assist features, since the tech-heavy setup can be a bigger ownership variable than the mechanical basics. You should also focus on overall condition and maintenance records, because a premium sedan like this can be more sensitive to deferred upkeep.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Mercedes-Benz C-Class?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without rushing every listing.

• Deal availability: 36.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,335 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.18% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 74.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $25,794, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Mercedes-Benz C-Class's resale value?

The current average of $25,794 sits slightly below last year's $28,403. That tells you the market has cooled, which can help you buy more affordably now but may also limit short-term upside if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, the recent price decline suggests you should expect a more competitive resale environment unless your car is especially clean, well maintained, and well equipped. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2021 Mercedes-Benz C-Class or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 36.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 74.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.18% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $29,681, the 2022 costs more than the current year's $25,794 average.
• It moves the nameplate upmarket with S-Class-inspired design and a more premium feel.

The bottom line: If you want the better value today, the 2021 is the stronger buy because it combines a lower average price with solid deal availability. If you’re willing to spend more for a newer redesign and a more upscale presentation, the 2022 is the better secondary path.
