Used 2021 Jeep Renegade for Sale nearDenver, CO

How much does the 2021 Jeep Renegade cost?

Prices have softened 9.63% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,496 listings available, which gives you a decent amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2021 Jeep Renegade a good car?

Yes — the 2021 Jeep Renegade earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.17/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Technology at 9/10.

Owners consistently praise its great value, comfortable and fun driving experience, and the variety of features it offers. They also like its unique Jeep styling and the higher seating position, which works especially well for shorter drivers.

The trade-offs are clear: the base engine is underwhelming, and the transmission can be irritating. Even so, the Renegade fits well if you want a small SUV with more personality and capability than a typical commuter.

With 33.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market still gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2021 Jeep Renegade reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to a vehicle that feels dependable in daily use, with owners highlighting its value, comfort, and feature content. The ownership experience also comes across as trouble-free enough that many buyers focus more on the Renegade’s quirks than on major durability concerns.

Its practical, easy-to-use nature supports the idea that it can be a solid long-term companion, especially if you want something simple to live with. For used buyers, the main ownership risk is less about reputation and more about making sure the specific vehicle has been maintained well and hasn’t been abused.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Jeep Renegade?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 76.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because accident-free status is only a starting point. A pre-purchase inspection should focus on the transmission behavior, tire condition, and signs of hard use if the vehicle has been driven off pavement. Pay extra attention to trim-specific equipment so you know whether the features you want are actually present.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Sport starts with push-button start, dual-zone climate control, a USB port, and a 7-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Higher trims add convenience and appearance upgrades, while the Limited brings leather upholstery, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and a power-adjustable driver’s seat.
• Powertrain: You can choose between a 2.4-liter four-cylinder with 180 horsepower and 175 pound-feet of torque, or a turbocharged 1.3-liter four-cylinder with 177 hp and 210 lb-ft of torque. The turbo engine is the stronger pick for refinement and low-end pull.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-path detection. The Trailhawk is the exception for automatic emergency braking.
• Infotainment: The standard screen is 7 inches, while an 8.4-inch display is available on some trims and standard on higher trims. Both versions include Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and the Uconnect system.
• Fuel efficiency: The most efficient setup is the 1.3-liter turbo with FWD at 24 mpg city, 32 highway, 27 combined. The 2.4-liter with FWD returns 22 mpg city, 30 highway, 25 combined.

Which 2021 Jeep Renegade trim should I buy?

The 2021 Jeep Renegade is offered in 8 trim levels: Sport, Jeepster, Latitude, Upland, 80th Anniversary, Islander, Limited, and Trailhawk.

Here's the short version:

• Sport: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core Renegade experience with the standard touchscreen, smartphone integration, and basic comfort features. It makes sense if you want the lowest starting price and can live without the extra convenience items.
• Jeepster: This trim adds keyless passive entry, remote start, 19-inch alloy wheels, and unique badging. It’s a better fit if you want a little more convenience and style without moving too far up the price ladder.
• Latitude: This trim keeps the same basic equipment as the Sport but adds an extra USB port and 17-inch alloy wheels. It’s the best-value choice if you want a modest upgrade without paying for more specialized editions.
• Upland: This adventure-minded trim adds beefed-up skid plates and a unique front bumper, and it comes exclusively with 4WD. It suits you if you want a more rugged look and a little more trail-ready hardware.
• 80th Anniversary: This version adds 19-inch alloy wheels, HD radio, and the larger 8.4-inch touchscreen with navigation. It’s a good pick if infotainment and appearance upgrades matter more to you than off-road hardware.
• Islander: This limited-edition model brings exclusive hood graphics, white roof panels, a dual-panel panoramic moonroof, and a unique color palette. Choose it if you want the most distinctive styling-focused version.
• Limited: This is the luxury-oriented trim, with leather upholstery, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, remote start, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, rain-sensing windshield wipers, and standard 4WD. It’s the best fit if comfort is your priority.
• Trailhawk: This is the capability-focused trim, with skid plates, tow hooks, a lifted suspension, all-terrain tires, and an upgraded 4WD system. It’s the right choice if you want the most off-road-ready Renegade.

The safety package is standard across the lineup, but the Trailhawk is the exception for automatic emergency braking.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Jeep Renegade?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.

• Deal availability: 33.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,496 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.63% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 76.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $16,522, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Jeep Renegade's resale value?

The current average of $16,522 sits slightly below last year's $18,282.

That price movement suggests the Renegade has softened enough to create a more buyer-friendly entry point today. For a future seller, that means your resale outcome will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and trim desirability rather than broad market momentum alone.

Well-equipped trims and clean history should help you hold value better than a bare-bones example. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2021 Jeep Renegade safe?

The 2021 Jeep Renegade earns four-star ratings from NHTSA in crash tests.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Jeep made automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-path detection standard across the lineup. Adaptive cruise control, automatic high beams, and front and rear parking sensors still cost extra.

One important caveat is that the Trailhawk does not get the standard automatic emergency braking setup. That trim-level gap is worth checking if safety equipment is a priority for you.

Should I buy a 2021 Jeep Renegade or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 33.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 76.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.63% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It adds standard advanced safety features across the lineup and keeps the Renegade’s easy-to-use tech and distinctive Jeep character.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $14,739, the 2020 costs less than the current year's $16,522 average.
• It offers more personality than class-leading polish.

The bottom line: If you want the better-balanced buy, the 2021 is the stronger choice because it combines softer pricing, standard safety upgrades, and strong owner satisfaction. If your main goal is to spend less up front, the 2020 is the value play, especially if you’re willing to give up some of the 2021’s added equipment and market freshness.
