Used 2021 Genesis G80 for Sale nearNew Orleans, LA

How much does the 2021 Genesis G80 cost?

Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.

There are 205 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2021 Genesis G80 a good car?

Yes — you’re looking at a 5/5 user-rated car with an 8.2/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Safety at 10/10.

Owners consistently praise the G80 for its impressive luxury features, smooth ride, sophisticated design, and value for money. That lines up well with the car’s upscale presentation and premium cabin, which are central to its appeal as a midsize luxury sedan.

The main trade-off is the underwhelming base engine, and the expert review also notes that the technology and driving character are strong but not class-leading in every respect. If you want a luxury sedan that feels distinctive and well equipped rather than purely performance-focused, the G80 fits that brief well.

With 35.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, there’s still meaningful room to find a competitive price.

Is the 2021 Genesis G80 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. Reviews also point to a dependable ownership experience, with comments centered on a trouble-free feel, strong value, and confidence in the car over time.

Genesis also backs the G80 with free maintenance, free service valet, and a long warranty package, which helps reduce early ownership friction. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about day-to-day dependability and more about making sure the specific car you choose has been cared for properly.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Genesis G80?

At 73.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a careful inspection of bodywork, paint consistency, and any signs of prior repair. It’s also smart to focus on how the cabin, electronics, and driver-assistance features function, since this model leans heavily on technology and luxury equipment.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Prestige Package adds a 12.3-inch digital instrumentation panel, a 12-inch head-up display, premium Nappa leather, a microfiber suede headliner, open-pore wood trim, a camera-based Blind Spot View Monitor, a surround-view camera system, and Remote Smart Parking Assist. If you want the most complete luxury and tech experience, that package is the one to prioritize.
• Powertrain: The standard turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder makes 300 horsepower and 311 pound-feet of torque, while the twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 makes 375 hp and 391 lb-ft of torque. Both use an eight-speed automatic transmission, and the V6 is the stronger choice if you want more effortless acceleration.
• Safety package: Every 2021 G80 includes a long list of driver-assist features, including collision avoidance tech, smart adaptive cruise control with machine learning, Safe Exit System, Leading Vehicle Departure Alert, Highway Driving Assist II, and 10 airbags. The Prestige Package adds Forward Attention Warning, Blind Spot View Monitor, a surround-view camera system, and Remote Smart Parking Assist.
• Infotainment: Every G80 has a 14.5-inch widescreen infotainment system with SiriusXM, wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, navigation, and available 21-speaker Lexicon audio. Wireless smartphone charging is available, and Genesis Connected Services is free for the first three years.
• Fuel efficiency: The 3.5T AWD test vehicle returned 22.4 mpg on the review loop, and the EPA estimate cited for that setup was 21 mpg in combined driving.

Which 2021 Genesis G80 trim should I buy?

The 2021 Genesis G80 is offered in 2 trim levels: 2.5T and 3.5T.

Here's the short version:

• 2.5T: This is the entry point, and it gives you the standard 300-hp turbocharged four-cylinder, the full-size 14.5-inch infotainment system, and the core luxury and safety equipment. It makes the most sense if you want the lower-priced way into the G80 without giving up the car’s main strengths.
• 3.5T: This is the better pick if you want the stronger twin-turbo V6, which the review describes as fantastic and much more satisfying than the base engine. It’s the trim to choose if you care most about performance and want the G80 at its most polished.

The Prestige Package is the key safety-and-luxury upgrade to look for, especially if you want the most advanced driver-assistance and parking features.

• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the better value today, the 2021 is the smarter starting point because pricing is stable and inventory is healthy. If you’re willing to spend a bit more for a newer model-year update, the 2022 is the cleaner upgrade path.
