Used 2021 Genesis G80 for Sale nearLos Angeles, CA

How much does the 2021 Genesis G80 cost?

Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.

There are 193 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2021 Genesis G80 a good car?

Yes — the 2021 Genesis G80 earns a 5/5 user rating and an 8.2/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Safety at 10/10.

Owners consistently praise its luxury features, smooth ride, and value for money, and they also highlight its sophisticated design and spaciousness. That lines up well with the G80’s role as a midsize luxury sedan that aims to deliver premium design, quality, and performance while standing apart from more familiar German rivals. The main trade-off is that the base engine is underwhelming, and the car’s upscale appeal is strongest when you focus on its design, materials, and technology rather than entry-level performance. With 28.0% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to find a compelling offer.

Is the 2021 Genesis G80 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with no major criticisms standing out in the reviews. Genesis also backs the car with free maintenance, free service valet, and three years or 36,000 miles of connected services, which helps reduce early ownership hassle. The warranty coverage is also generous, which supports confidence if you plan to keep the car for the long term. For used buyers, the main risk is less about day-to-day dependability and more about making sure the specific car has been cared for properly.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Genesis G80?

At 73.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a careful inspection of bodywork, paint consistency, and signs of prior repair. Because the G80 is a luxury sedan with a lot of technology, it also makes sense to check that the electronics, cameras, and driver-assistance features work as intended. Focus on overall condition, service history, and whether the car’s equipment matches the trim and package claims in the listing.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Prestige Package adds premium Nappa leather, a microfiber suede headliner, open-pore wood trim, a 12.3-inch digital instrumentation panel, and a 12-inch head-up display, while the base setup is less richly equipped.
• Powertrain: The standard 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder makes 300 horsepower, while the available 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 makes 375 horsepower and is the stronger choice if you want more thrust.
• Safety package: Every G80 includes a long list of driver-assist tech, including collision avoidance features, smart adaptive cruise control with machine learning, Safe Exit System, Leading Vehicle Departure Alert, Highway Driving Assist II, 10 airbags, and a center-mounted airbag.
• Infotainment: Every G80 has a 14.5-inch widescreen infotainment system with wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, SiriusXM, navigation, and available wireless smartphone charging.
• Fuel efficiency: The 3.5T AWD test vehicle returned 22.4 mpg in testing, and the EPA estimate cited for that setup was 21 mpg combined.

Which 2021 Genesis G80 trim should I buy?

The 2021 Genesis G80 is offered in 2 trim levels: 2.5T and 3.5T.

Here's the short version:

• 2.5T: This is the value play if you want the G80’s styling, luxury feel, and standard tech without paying for the stronger engine. It still gives you the core G80 experience, but the base engine is the main compromise.
• 3.5T: This is the better pick if you want the most satisfying performance and the more upscale driving experience. It adds the twin-turbo V6 and is the trim to target if you care most about power and refinement.

The Prestige Package adds several important safety and convenience upgrades, including the camera-based Forward Attention Warning, Blind Spot View Monitor, surround-view camera system, and Remote Smart Parking Assist.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Genesis G80?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly on the right car.

• Deal availability: 28.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 193 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 73.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $30,100, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Genesis G80's resale value?

The current average of $30,836 sits slightly below last year's $31,038.

That small decline suggests the market has been fairly stable rather than sharply weakening. For you as a future seller, that kind of price movement usually points to predictable depreciation instead of a sudden drop in value. The G80’s strong owner satisfaction should also help keep demand healthy among used luxury-sedan shoppers.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
