Used 2021 GMC Yukon for Sale nearColorado Springs, CO

How much does the 2021 GMC Yukon cost?

Prices have softened 14.49% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,415 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2021 GMC Yukon a good car?

Yes — the 2021 GMC Yukon earns a 5/5 user rating, and its expert rating is 7.67/10. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Technology, and Safety.

Owners consistently praise the luxurious feel, spacious interior, and impressive tech features. The ride is described as extremely comfortable, and many owners say it stands out in its class. That lines up with the Yukon’s appeal as a large SUV for you if you want a roomy third row, plenty of cargo space, and a powerful engine.

The main trade-offs are poor fuel economy and a few comfort and material-quality complaints from the expert drive. Even so, the market still shows 36.4% of listings as good or great deals, which suggests there are worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2021 GMC Yukon reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with people especially confident in the Yukon’s long-term appeal. The expert drive also describes the SUV as a vehicle you can count on for strong capability and everyday use, even if it is not the most efficient choice.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that higher operating costs and wear-related issues can matter more in a large SUV like this, so condition and maintenance history should carry extra weight.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 GMC Yukon?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 78.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because a clean listing percentage does not replace a proper records review. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on wear items, cabin condition, and how the SUV drives over rough pavement. Given the Yukon’s size and equipment level, you should also pay close attention to seat comfort, interior finish quality, and whether the technology works smoothly.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The SLE, SLT, AT4, and Denali each bring different levels of refinement, with the Denali standing out for its more upscale cabin design, real wood trim, leather-wrapped panels, unique stitching and piping, and panoramic sunroof when equipped with the Ultimate Package. The AT4 adds off-road-oriented hardware such as an improved approach angle, skid plates, and all-terrain tires, while the lower trims are more straightforward and less richly appointed.
• Powertrain: You get a standard 355-horsepower 5.3-liter V8 on all but the Denali, while the Denali uses a 420-horsepower 6.2-liter V8. A 3.0-liter turbo-diesel inline six-cylinder is also mentioned as an option for most versions, and the 6.2-liter delivers strong acceleration but weak fuel economy.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes forward collision warning, daytime pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking below 50 mph, automatic high-beam headlights, Teen Driver, a rear-seat reminder, and OnStar crash response and crisis assistance. Starting with SLT, you also get blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic warning, lane-departure warning, and lane-keeping assistance, while rear pedestrian alert is standard on Denali and available on SLT and AT4. Adaptive cruise control and enhanced automatic emergency braking above 50 mph require Denali.
• Infotainment: Every 2021 Yukon gets a 10.2-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, Amazon Alexa integration, over-the-air updates, and access to connected services. Available upgrades include wireless device charging, navigation, a 14-speaker Bose audio system, and rear-seat media with dual 12.6-inch displays.
• Fuel efficiency: The 6.2-liter V8 with 4WD is EPA-rated at 14 mpg city, 19 highway, and 16 combined, and the expert drive recorded 14.4 mpg on one test loop and 16.2 mpg on another. The expert drive also notes that fuel economy is not this engine’s strong suit.

Which 2021 GMC Yukon trim should I buy?

The 2021 GMC Yukon is offered in 4 trim levels: SLE, SLT, AT4, and Denali.

Here's the short version:

• SLE: This is the entry point if you want the redesigned Yukon’s space, standard 10.2-inch touchscreen, wireless smartphone integration, and core safety tech without paying for the more upscale trims. It makes sense if you care most about value and want the basics of the new Yukon package.
• SLT: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic warning, lane-departure warning, and lane-keeping assistance. If you want a more complete daily-driver setup without jumping all the way to Denali pricing, this is the trim to focus on.
• AT4: Choose this if you want the off-road-oriented version, since it adds an improved approach angle, skid plates, and all-terrain tires. It is the right fit if you want the Yukon’s size and capability with a more adventurous setup.
• Denali: This is the luxury pick, with the 6.2-liter V8, exclusive dashboard design, real wood trim, leather-wrapped panels, unique stitching and piping, and available upscale tech and comfort features. It also gets rear pedestrian alert standard, plus adaptive cruise control and enhanced automatic emergency braking.

For safety-package shoppers, note that rear pedestrian alert is standard on Denali and available on SLT and AT4, while adaptive cruise control and enhanced automatic emergency braking are reserved for Denali.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 GMC Yukon?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you know what to look for.

• Deal availability: 36.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,415 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.49% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 78.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $41,608, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 GMC Yukon's resale value?

The current average of $41,608 sits slightly below last year's $48,661.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable point in the cycle. For a future seller, that also means you should expect resale value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle has been maintained.

Because the Yukon still has strong demand from shoppers who want space, power, and a premium feel, well-kept examples should remain easier to move than neglected ones. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2021 GMC Yukon safe?

The 2021 GMC Yukon earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard features include forward collision warning, daytime pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking below 50 mph, automatic high-beam headlights, Teen Driver, a rear-seat reminder, and OnStar crash response and crisis assistance. Starting with SLT trim, you also get blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic warning, lane-departure warning, and lane-keeping assistance. Rear pedestrian alert is available on SLT and AT4 and standard on Denali, while adaptive cruise control and enhanced automatic emergency braking above 50 mph require Denali.

One caveat is that crash-test ratings were unavailable in the expert review text, so you should lean more heavily on the available driver-assistance equipment and the vehicle’s condition when shopping used.

Should I buy a 2021 GMC Yukon or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 36.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 78.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.49% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The redesign brings more space, better ride quality, and a major technology upgrade.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $46,472, the 2022 costs more than the current year's $41,608 average.
• It adds a standard 12-inch driver information center and enhanced connectivity.

The 2021 is the better buy if you want the redesigned Yukon at a lower price and can live without the 2022’s added display and connectivity updates. If you are price-sensitive, the 2021 gives you the stronger value story; if you want the newer tech refinements and do not mind paying more, the 2022 is the cleaner upgrade path.
