Used 2022 GMC Yukon for Sale nearColorado Springs, CO

How much does the 2022 GMC Yukon cost?

Prices have softened 12.47% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 3,757 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of used Yukons to compare.

Is the 2022 GMC Yukon a good car?

Yes — the 2022 GMC Yukon earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.5/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Look and feel, Form and function, Technology, and Safety.

The Yukon’s appeal comes from its full-size SUV packaging, upscale “Professional Grade” positioning, and strong mix of capability and space. For 2022, you also get a standard 12-inch driver information center and enhanced connectivity, which adds to its modern feel.

The trade-offs are clear: poor fuel economy and poor value for money.

The market still shows 36.6% good or great deals, which suggests you can shop selectively without rushing.

Is the 2022 GMC Yukon reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Yukon’s redesign brings meaningful space and ride-quality gains, and the available powertrains include a diesel option that adds efficiency and long-range capability. The 5.3-liter V8 and 6.2-liter V8 both use fuel-saving cylinder-deactivation technology, and the diesel version is paired with a five-year, 100,000-mile powertrain warranty.

If you’re buying used, the main long-term risk is that ownership costs can be high if you choose a less efficient configuration or a heavily optioned trim.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 GMC Yukon?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 83.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because a clean listing percentage does not replace a proper records review. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-mileage example or one with towing equipment. Focus on overall condition, since the Yukon’s size, features, and available hardware can make wear and tear more expensive to address.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base SLE already has a premium look with plenty of chrome, but it uses cloth seats and lacks some of the richer cabin touches found higher up the range. The SLT, AT4, and Denali add perforated leather, with the Denali bringing the most upscale interior presentation and the AT4 adding its own distinctive off-road styling cues.
• Powertrain: You can choose from a 5.3-liter V8, a 6.2-liter V8, or a 3.0-liter turbodiesel four-cylinder. The diesel is the efficiency play, while the 6.2-liter V8 is the strongest gas engine and the 5.3-liter V8 is the standard setup on most trims.
• Safety package: GMC Pro Safety is standard and includes automatic emergency braking with front pedestrian detection, forward-collision warning, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assistance, following distance indicator, and automatic high-beam headlights. GMC Pro Safety Plus adds lane-change alert with blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear park assist, and it is standard on SLT and above but only available on SLE.
• Infotainment: The Yukon uses a 10.2-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Google Built-In, and wireless phone charging on all but the SLE. AT4 and Denali also get three years of connected services.
• Fuel efficiency: The Yukon returns 16-17 mpg combined with either V8 engine, while diesel versions average 22-23 mpg combined. The diesel can also travel up to 648 miles on a tank.

Which 2022 GMC Yukon trim should I buy?

The 2022 GMC Yukon is offered in 4 trim levels: SLE, SLT, AT4, and Denali.

Here's the short version:

• SLE: This is the entry point, and it gives you the Yukon’s big-space formula, standard 12-inch driver information center, and the core Pro Safety suite. It makes sense if you want the Yukon’s size and presence without paying for luxury extras, but you give up the richer cabin materials and added convenience features found higher up.
• SLT: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds a more upscale feel with perforated leather and unlocks more available safety and convenience content. If you want the Yukon to feel meaningfully more premium without jumping to the top of the range, this is the trim to focus on.
• AT4: This is the one to choose if you want the Yukon’s off-road-oriented character. It gets unique front styling, a skid plate, red recovery hooks, standard 4WD, and a two-speed transfer case, plus available features like the head-up display.
• Denali: This is the luxury pick, with the most distinctive exterior treatment, the most upscale interior designs, standard heated and cooled front seats, and standard second-row captain’s chairs. It’s the trim to buy if you want the Yukon to feel closest to a premium SUV.

GMC Pro Safety Plus is available on SLE and standard on SLT and above, so safety-minded buyers should pay close attention to trim choice.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 GMC Yukon?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 36.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,757 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.47% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 83.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $45,927, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 GMC Yukon's resale value?

The current average of $45,927 sits slightly below last year's $52,471.

That price movement suggests the Yukon has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help future resale stability if you buy at the right price. If you choose a well-kept example with desirable equipment, you may have a better chance of limiting your loss when it’s time to sell. Higher-demand trims and cleaner histories should be easier to move later than neglected or heavily worn examples.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 GMC Yukon safe?

The 2022 GMC Yukon earns four-star ratings in front crash protection and rollover resistance, and five-star ratings in side crash protection from NHTSA.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Every 2022 Yukon comes with GMC Pro Safety, which includes automatic emergency braking with front pedestrian detection, forward-collision warning, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assistance, following distance indicator, and automatic high-beam headlights. GMC Pro Safety Plus adds lane-change alert with blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear park assist, and it is standard on SLT and above but only available on SLE.

Should I buy a 2022 GMC Yukon or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 36.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 83.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.47% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2022 adds a standard 12-inch driver information center and enhanced connectivity.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $40,983, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $45,927 average.
• The redesign brought major gains in space, ride quality, and technology.

The bottom line: Choose the 2022 if you want the stronger shopping conditions and the year’s added tech updates. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2021 is the better value play, especially if you can find one in good condition with the space and ride improvements of the redesign.
