Used 2021 Ford Bronco Sport for Sale near Michigan

How much does the 2021 Ford Bronco Sport cost?

Prices have softened 10.85% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 3,269 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2021 Ford Bronco Sport a good car?

Generally — the 2021 Ford Bronco Sport earns a 4.1/5 user rating and a 7.3/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Look and feel, Performance, and Cost effectiveness.

Owners commonly praise its style, good fuel economy, and off-road capabilities, and the overview also points to its lively personality, versatility, and playful feel. Those strengths line up with its use case as a compact two-row crossover that works for both everyday driving and weekend adventures.

The main trade-offs are the interior materials, which are described as feeling cheap, plus some owner complaints about a small back seat and an annoying Auto-Stop feature. Even so, the Bronco Sport’s broad appeal comes from blending engaging handling with practical utility, and 36.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

Is the 2021 Ford Bronco Sport reliable?

Owners rate it 4.1/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner summary points to a vehicle that many drivers find dependable enough to recommend for adventurous use, with praise for its trouble-free feel, good fuel economy, and off-road capability. That kind of feedback suggests you can count on it for the mix of daily driving and weekend use it was built for.

The expert notes also reinforce that it has good manners on pavement and a capable, drama-free character off-road, which supports confidence in everyday dependability. If you’re buying used, the main long-term ownership risk is less about outright capability and more about whether the specific vehicle has been cared for well and avoided the wear that can come with hard use.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Ford Bronco Sport?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 81.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the Bronco Sport may have seen trail use or frequent short-trip driving. Focus on cabin condition, rear-seat space, and signs of hard use, since owner feedback and the review both point to interior quality concerns.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Base model is the most stripped-down version, with 17-inch Sparkle Silver wheels, cloth seats, a rubberized cargo floor, and no push-button start or 6.5-inch digital instrument panel. Higher trims add more comfort and convenience, including leather-trimmed heated sport-contour bucket seats, a more upscale cabin, and additional wheel and tire upgrades.
• Powertrain: The 1.5-liter EcoBoost turbocharged three-cylinder makes 181 horsepower and 190 pound-feet of torque in Base, Big Bend, and Outer Banks trims. The 2.0-liter EcoBoost turbocharged four-cylinder makes 245 hp and 275 lb-ft in Badlands and First Edition models, and it is the better match if you want stronger performance and more off-road capability.
• Safety package: Every trim comes standard with Ford Co-Pilot360, which includes pre-collision assist with automatic emergency braking and pedestrian detection, forward collision warning and dynamic brake support, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keeping assist, auto high-beam headlamps, and a reversing camera. Co-Pilot360 Assist+ is available on all trims except Base, and road-sign recognition is not available on Big Bend.
• Infotainment: The 8-inch touchscreen runs SYNC 3 and supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Ford+Alexa and SiriusXM are available, FordConnect with 4G LTE WiFi hotspot is standard, and the available 360-degree camera with split view can be especially useful if you plan to use the vehicle off-road.
• Fuel efficiency: The owner summary highlights good fuel economy, and the 1.5-liter engine is the efficiency-oriented choice compared with the more powerful 2.0-liter setup.

Which 2021 Ford Bronco Sport trim should I buy?

The 2021 Ford Bronco Sport is offered in 5 trim levels: Base, Big Bend, Outer Banks, Badlands, and First Edition.

Here's the short version:

• Base: This is the entry point, but it leaves out some convenience features you’ll notice right away, including push-button start and the 6.5-inch digital instrument panel. It makes sense if you want the lowest starting price and are comfortable with a simpler setup.
• Big Bend: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it keeps the 1.5-liter engine while adding more everyday usability than Base. It’s a smart middle ground if you want a Bronco Sport feel without moving into the pricier comfort-focused trims.
• Outer Banks: This trim leans more toward comfort and appearance, with 18-inch machined-face aluminum Ebony Black-painted wheels, all-season tires, heated and leather-wrapped steering wheel, and the 6.5-inch digital instrument panel. It suits you if you want a more polished daily driver.
• Badlands: This is the more capable choice, pairing the 2.0-liter engine with an advanced 4x4 system, twin-clutch rear-drive unit, all-terrain tires, seven G.O.A.T. modes, Trail Control, and metal bash plates. Choose it if off-road use matters most.
• First Edition: This is the most fully equipped version, with the stronger engine and nearly every available feature bundled in. It makes sense if you want the most complete Bronco Sport package and are willing to pay for it.

Ford Co-Pilot360 comes standard on every trim, and Co-Pilot360 Assist+ is available on all trims except Base.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Ford Bronco Sport?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to shop carefully without waiting for a dramatic bargain.

• Deal availability: 36.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,269 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.85% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 81.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $19,755, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Ford Bronco Sport's resale value?

The current average of $19,755 sits slightly below last year's $22,158.

That price drop suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable point in the cycle. For a future seller, that also means resale value will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and trim, since buyers will be comparing your vehicle against a fairly broad and active used market.

If you keep the Bronco Sport clean, well maintained, and free of accident history, you’ll be in a better position when it’s time to sell. Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.1/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2021 Ford Bronco Sport safe?

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

Each trim level of the Bronco Sport comes standard with the Ford Co-Pilot360 suite of safety features. This suite includes pre-collision assist with automatic emergency braking and pedestrian detection, forward collision warning and dynamic brake support, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keeping assist, auto high-beam headlamps, and a reversing camera.

Ford Co-Pilot360 Assist+ is available on all trim levels except Base, and it adds adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go and lane centering, evasive steering assist, a voice-activated touchscreen navigation system with pinch-to-zoom capability, SiriusXM Traffic and Travel Link, and road-sign recognition, though road-sign recognition is not available on Big Bend.

Should I buy a 2021 Ford Bronco Sport or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 36.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 81.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.85% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.1/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• After a long buildup, Ford finally made the 2021 Bronco Sport available for the media to test drive, and it proved to be a lively, capable, and attractive companion for on- and off-pavement adventures.

The bottom line: The 2021 is a strong choice if you want the Bronco Sport’s distinctive style, capable personality, and broad market availability at a softer price than last year. If you’re especially price-sensitive, keep shopping for the best-condition example in the trim you want, since the market still offers enough inventory to be selective.
