Used 2020 Toyota Camry for Sale nearSilver Spring, MD

How much does the 2020 Toyota Camry cost?

Prices have softened 2.44% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 3,081 listings available, which suggests you should have a workable range of choices.

Is the 2020 Toyota Camry a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Toyota Camry earns a 4.71/5 user rating and a 7.5/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Safety at 9/10.

Drivers consistently praise its reliability, comfort, and great fuel economy, and many also like its stylish design and smooth ride. On the other hand, some owners want more horsepower and more advanced features, and a few mention a learning curve with the newer technology.

That lines up with the Camry’s role as a practical midsize sedan with broader appeal for everyday commuting and family use. It is a strong fit if you want a well-rounded car that emphasizes usability over flash.

30.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2020 Toyota Camry reliable?

Owners rate it 4.71/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to reliability, dependability, and trouble-free ownership, with drivers also describing it as a car they can count on over the long term. The expert evaluation reinforces that impression by highlighting Toyota’s practical, durable approach and the Camry’s everyday usability.

ToyotaCare adds free maintenance for two years or 25,000 miles, which helps reduce early ownership costs. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about the powertrain and more about finding a well-kept example with consistent service history.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Toyota Camry?

At 55.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the car has had bodywork or multiple owners. Focus on panel alignment, tire wear, brake condition, and signs of interior wear that might suggest harder use than the mileage implies.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lower trims feel well finished, but the LE is the entry point and the Camry LE is the trim where key convenience and safety options begin to open up.
• Powertrain: You can choose a 2.5-liter four-cylinder with front-wheel drive, the same engine with all-wheel drive, or a 3.5-liter V6; the four-cylinder is the efficiency-minded choice, while the V6 adds smooth power.
• Safety package: Toyota Safety Sense is standard and includes pre-collision braking with pedestrian detection, adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning with steering assist, and automatic high beams; blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is optional.
• Infotainment: Lower trims use a 7-inch screen, with an optional 8-inch upgrade; Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and Amazon Alexa are standard, and higher trims add more display and connectivity features.
• Fuel efficiency: The front-drive four-cylinder is rated at 31 mpg combined in XLE and XSE trim, AWD drops that to 28 mpg, and front-drive V6 models return 26 mpg, except the TRD at 25 mpg.

Which 2020 Toyota Camry trim should I buy?

The 2020 Toyota Camry is offered in 6 trim levels: LE, SE, SE Nightshade, XLE, XSE, and TRD.

Here's the short version:

• LE: This is the value starting point, and it makes the most sense if you want the Camry’s core safety and comfort without paying for extras you may not use.
• SE: This trim adds a sportier look and better interior trimmings, including synthetic leather seats instead of cloth, making it a smart step up for shoppers who want more style.
• SE Nightshade: Choose this if you want the SE’s equipment with blacked-out exterior trim and black 18-inch wheels.
• XLE: This is the best-value trim for many buyers because it adds more luxury equipment, including leather upholstery, dual-zone climate control, and the upgraded audio and infotainment system.
• XSE: This is the more upscale sporty choice, pairing the XLE-style equipment with a more expressive personality and available remote-connect features.
• TRD: This is the enthusiast pick, with a 301-horsepower V6, lowered suspension, beefed-up brakes, and high-performance tires, but it is the least practical choice for most shoppers.

Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is optional, and Bird’s Eye View is available on higher trims.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Toyota Camry?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 30.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,081 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.44% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 55.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $19,630, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Toyota Camry's resale value?

The current average of $20,377 sits slightly below last year's $20,887.

That softer pricing suggests the Camry is holding value reasonably well, but not aggressively appreciating. For a future seller, that means your return will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and trim rather than on broad market momentum alone.

The good news is that the Camry’s reputation for reliability and strong owner satisfaction should help keep demand steady. Well-kept examples with desirable equipment are likely to remain easier to move than neglected ones.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.71/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 Toyota Camry safe?

The 2020 Toyota Camry earns five-star ratings from NHTSA and Top Safety Pick+ recognition from IIHS.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Toyota Safety Sense is standard and includes a pre-collision system with emergency braking and pedestrian detection, dynamic radar adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning with steering assist, and automatic high beams. Every Camry also gets 10 airbags, stability control, a backup camera, and a one-year trial of Safety Connect.

Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is optional, and Bird’s Eye View is available on higher trims. The main caveat is that Toyota’s safety suite is not quite as comprehensive as on some other Toyota models.

Should I buy a 2020 Toyota Camry or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 30.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 55.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.44% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.71/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2020 stands out for adding all-wheel drive and the TRD performance variant.

Consider the 2019 if:

• At $18,874, the 2019 costs less than the current year's $20,377 average.
• The 2019 emphasizes style, safety, and a free maintenance plan.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $21,851, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $20,377 average.
• The 2021 adds updated infotainment, revised styling, and Toyota Safety Sense 2.5+.

The bottom line: If you want the most distinctive version of this generation, the 2020 is the one to target because it adds AWD and the TRD. If your priority is saving money, the 2019 is the better value play, while the 2021 makes sense if you want the newer tech and safety updates.
