With 23.0% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to find a competitive price if you compare listings closely. The market also shows 73.0% of listings are accident-free, so condition varies enough that you should pay close attention to vehicle history before you buy.
What should I look for when buying a used 2020 RAM 3500 Chassis?
At 73% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage was repaired properly. Put inspection priority on structural condition, signs of bodywork, and overall maintenance records so you can separate clean examples from trucks that may need extra work. Focus on the individual vehicle’s condition rather than assuming all listings are comparable.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 RAM 3500 Chassis?
This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so it can be a good time to buy if you’re willing to compare listings and wait for the right one.
- Deal availability: 23.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 126 listings available.
- Clean inventory: 73.0% of listings are accident-free.
Should I buy a 2020 RAM 3500 Chassis or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2020 if:
- 23.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- At 73% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
The bottom line: The 2020 is a sensible primary choice if you want a year with some deal availability and enough inventory to shop selectively. If you’re especially price-sensitive, keep a close eye on comparable nearby years and prioritize the cleanest, best-documented truck over the lowest sticker price.
