Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a car that feels well built and dependable in daily use, with build quality and trouble-free ownership impressions showing up in the praise. That said, you should still think carefully about long-term ownership risk in a used EV, especially if you plan to keep the car for many years.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Porsche Taycan?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 85% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on battery health, charging behavior, and any signs of prior damage or repair. Because this model can be expensive to own, condition matters a lot, so pay close attention to maintenance records, cosmetic wear, and how the car drives and charges in real-world use.

What is the 2020 Porsche Taycan's resale value?

The current average of $62,898 sits slightly below last year's $71,419.

That drop suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer but may temper short-term resale expectations if you plan to sell soon. For a future seller, the key is to buy well and keep the car in excellent condition, because premium EVs can be more sensitive to mileage, history, and overall presentation. Strong demand tends to follow cars that still feel special and are well cared for.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Porsche Taycan or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 31.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 85% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.93% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the Taycan’s original launch-year character and you value the 2020 model’s combination of performance, luxury, and current pricing, this is the year to target. If you’re more price-sensitive or want to compare broader feature changes, a nearby model year may give you a different mix of value and convenience, but the 2020 remains a strong choice for shoppers focused on driving feel.
