About 2022 Lucid Air
Officially launched for pre-order in 2019, the Lucid Air is in its initial year of production as a 2022 model. The fully electric sedan has a range of up to 520 miles, the longest claimed range of any electric vehicle (EV) available and rated by the EPA. Trims for the Lucid Air are delineated largely by the size of the lithium-ion battery the model carries. The Lucid Air Pure features an 88-kWh battery and makes 480 hp and 443 lb-ft of torque. It has a range of 410 miles when equipped with 19-inch wheels. The Lucid Air Touring has a 93-kWh battery; it makes 620 hp and 738 lb-ft of torque and has a range of up to 425 miles when equipped with 19-inch wheels. The Lucid Air Grand Touring features a 112-kWh battery and makes 800 hp and 885 lb-ft of torque, with a range of up to 516 miles with 19-inch wheels. The sedan is also available in two limited editions: The Dream Edition has a 118-kWh battery and makes 933 hp and 1,025 lb-ft of torque with a range of 520 miles with 19-inch wheels. The Dream Edition Performance has the same size battery, but it delivers 1,111 hp and 1,025 lb-ft of torque with a range of 471 miles with 19-inch wheels. All of these trim levels are equipped with dual motors and all-wheel drive (AWD) as a standard feature. 20-inch wheels are available at no extra charge, and 21-inch wheels can be added as a paid upgrade. The Lucid Air is fully equipped with LED headlights, all the necessary hardware for its DreamDrive advanced driver-assistance system, four high-resolution screens (three of which are touch-sensitive), a 10-speaker sound system, 12-way power adjustment for the heated front seats, front and rear trunk with a total luggage space of around 32 cubic ft, and over-the-air software updates. Available options include active suspension, a panoramic sunroof, executive rear seats that can recline up to 55 degrees, a 29-speaker sound system with noise cancellation, 20- or 21-inch alloy wheels, and 22-way power-adjustable front seats with ventilation, dynamic bolsters, and massage. Color options are trim-dependent: Pure and Touring trims are available in Infinite Black, Stellar White, Cosmos Silver, Quantum Grey, Zenith Red, and Fathom Blue. Grand Touring is not offered in Fathom Blue but is available in any of the other five colors. Dream Edition is offered only in Infinite Black, Stellar White, Zenith Red, and Eureka Gold. The 2022 Lucid Air starts $87,400 in its Pure form. The Touring trim starts at $107,400, Grand Touring at $154,000, and Grand Touring Performance at $179,000. Dream Edition starts at $169,000.
