Used 2020 Nissan Rogue for Sale nearLancaster, PA

How much does the 2020 Nissan Rogue cost?

Prices have softened 7.23% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 3,921 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for comparison shopping.

Is the 2020 Nissan Rogue a good car?

Yes — it earns a 4.7/5 user rating and a 6.00/10 expert rating. The model scores 7/10 across Look and feel, Form and function, and Technology.

Owners consistently praise its comfort, driving experience, cargo space, and gas mileage. The Rogue also appeals as a practical, easy-to-live-with compact crossover with broad everyday usefulness.

The trade-offs are clear: experts call out sluggish performance and unintuitive technology, and they also flag poor value for money. Even so, if you want a familiar compact SUV with strong day-to-day utility, the Rogue’s appeal is easy to understand.

Good and great deals account for 31.2% of listings, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2020 Nissan Rogue reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback points to a dependable-feeling ownership experience, with repeated praise for comfort, driving experience, and the kind of everyday usefulness that helps a vehicle stay in service for years. The same feedback also highlights cargo space and gas mileage as strengths you can count on.

From the expert side, the Rogue’s straightforward single-engine setup and familiar drivetrain approach support an easy-to-understand ownership experience. The cost side is less reassuring, though, because there are no free scheduled maintenance perks to offset routine ownership expenses.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that age-related shortcomings can show up in performance, technology, and overall value rather than in outright usability.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Nissan Rogue?

At 68.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection. Focus on condition, prior repairs, and whether the equipment on the car matches what you expect from the trim level you’re considering.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Rogue is offered in S, SV, and SL trim levels. The S is the simplest version, while higher trims add more convenience and luxury touches; the SL stands out with 19-inch aluminum wheels and a more upscale presentation.
• Powertrain: You get a single 170-horsepower 2.5-liter four-cylinder paired with a CVT, with front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive available. Efficiency is a mixed bag, and the powertrain is described as adequate rather than energetic.
• Safety package: Safety Shield 360 is standard and includes forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking for the front and rear, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane departure warning, and automatic high-beam headlights. ProPilot Assist and a surround-view camera are available, but they are not standard.
• Infotainment: Every Rogue includes a 7-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a hands-free text messaging assistant. Higher trims can add navigation, SiriusXM satellite radio, a Bose premium sound system, and NissanConnect Services.
• Fuel efficiency: The EPA leads you to expect 29 mpg in combined driving for front-wheel-drive versions, but testing returned no better than 24.9 mpg on a mixed loop.

Which 2020 Nissan Rogue trim should I buy?

The 2020 Nissan Rogue is offered in 3 trim levels: S, SV, and SL.

Here's the short version:

• S: This is the simplest Rogue, and it makes sense if you want the lowest-cost path into the model’s comfort and practicality. It gives you the core Rogue experience without the extra equipment that pushes higher trims upward in price.
• SV: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it sits in the middle and should balance equipment and price well. If you want a more complete daily driver without stretching to the top trim, this is the one to focus on.
• SL: This is the most upscale Rogue in the lineup, and it’s the trim to choose if you want the most polished presentation and the available premium touches. It suits you best if comfort and features matter more than keeping the purchase as lean as possible.

Safety Shield 360 is standard across the lineup, while ProPilot Assist and the surround-view camera remain available rather than standard.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Nissan Rogue?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 31.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,921 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.23% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 68.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $15,099, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Nissan Rogue's resale value?

The current average of $15,099 sits slightly below last year's $16,275.

That softer pricing suggests the Rogue has already absorbed some of its depreciation, which can help future sellers if the market stabilizes. If you buy at the right price and keep the vehicle in good condition, you may have a better chance of limiting your loss when it’s time to sell.

The flip side is that a model with weaker value perception can be harder to move quickly unless it’s priced competitively. Strong condition, clean history, and desirable equipment will matter more when you eventually list it.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 Nissan Rogue safe?

The 2020 Nissan Rogue earns a four-star overall rating from NHTSA due to a three-star driver rating in frontal-impact testing, and IIHS says it does not earn a Top Safety Pick designation.

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

Safety Shield 360 is standard, and it bundles forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking for the front and rear, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane departure warning, and automatic high-beam headlights. Rear Door Alert and Tire Fill Alert are also included, and ProPilot Assist plus a surround-view camera are available.

The main caveat is that the Rogue’s crash-test performance reflects its age, especially in the frontal-impact result that keeps it from a stronger safety standing.

Should I buy a 2020 Nissan Rogue or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 31.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 68.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.23% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2020 Rogue offers a stylish design and broad everyday usefulness, even though experts call out sluggish performance and unintuitive technology.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $18,247, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $15,099 average.
• It brings a redesigned, more polished interior and a better overall feel.

The bottom line: If you want the lower purchase price and can live with the 2020’s dated performance and tech, it remains a sensible used buy. If you can stretch your budget, the next year is the better path for shoppers who want a more modern Rogue experience.
