There are 1,176 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2020 Nissan Kicks a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Nissan Kicks earns a 4.62/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its value, safety features, and fuel efficiency, and many appreciate the amount of equipment you get for the price. The main tradeoff is performance, since some drivers say it can feel underpowered in certain situations. For you, that makes it a smart fit if you want an affordable, practical small SUV for commuting or everyday use. With 32.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still meaningful market opportunity if you shop carefully.

Is the 2020 Nissan Kicks reliable?

Owners rate it 4.62/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to dependable everyday use, with praise centered on value, safety features, and fuel efficiency. That combination suggests the Kicks is the kind of vehicle many buyers can count on for routine driving and long-term ownership. For used buyers, the main risk is less about complexity and more about finding a well-kept example that has been maintained consistently.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Nissan Kicks?

At 74.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with past damage. After that, prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially if the listing price looks unusually attractive. Focus on overall condition, maintenance records, and signs of prior repair work so you can avoid paying market value for a car with hidden issues.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Nissan Kicks?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay disciplined.

• Deal availability: 32.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,176 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.97% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 74.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $13,022, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Nissan Kicks's resale value?

The current average of $13,116 sits slightly below last year's $14,409.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can make the Kicks easier to buy now but may also limit short-term appreciation if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, the key is to buy well and keep the vehicle in strong condition so you preserve as much value as possible. Models that stay attractive to budget-conscious shoppers tend to hold demand better when they are clean, well maintained, and priced competitively.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.62/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Nissan Kicks or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 32.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 74.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.97% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.62/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2019 if:

• At $12,037, the 2019 costs less than the current year's $13,116 average.
• It emphasizes affordable, efficient commuting with standard safety features.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $14,567, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $13,116 average.
• It adds more features while keeping the same budget-friendly, commuter-friendly appeal.

The bottom line: The 2020 is the best all-around choice if you want a balanced mix of price, owner satisfaction, and market availability. If your priority is spending less, the 2019 is the better value play. If you want more features and can stretch your budget, the 2021 is the more appealing upgrade path.
