Used 2020 Mazda CX-30 for Sale nearCincinnati, OH

How much does the 2020 Mazda CX-30 cost?

Prices have softened 3.16% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 591 listings available, which suggests you have a modest amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2020 Mazda CX-30 a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Mazda CX-30 earns a 4.57/5 user rating and a 7.67/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Safety at 10/10.

Owners consistently praise its stylish design, interior quality, and performance, and they also describe it as a great value in its class. The CX-30 is framed as a compact crossover that gives you extra ground clearance and easier entry and exit while keeping a small footprint. The main trade-offs are that it gives up some of the Mazda3’s sharper driving character and misses a few features found in rivals. Even so, the market signals are healthy, with 37.9% of listings marked as good or great deals.

Is the 2020 Mazda CX-30 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.57/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle that feels stylish, well designed, and worth recommending over time, while also emphasizing its interior quality and performance. The expert evaluation reinforces that sense of dependability by describing the CX-30 as refined, quiet, and communicative, with a polished driving feel. The ownership picture is helped by the fact that the CX-30 feels like you’re getting more than you paid for, even if it does not match rivals on free maintenance or long warranty coverage.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about outright durability and more about whether the specific example has been maintained well and equipped the way you want.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Mazda CX-30?

At 72.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a careful inspection of bodywork, alignment, and signs of prior repair. Because the CX-30’s appeal depends heavily on its refinement and safety equipment, you should also confirm that the features you want are present and functioning properly. Pay close attention to trim-specific equipment, since some of the most useful upgrades are not standard on every version.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base version looks and feels upscale, but it misses some useful equipment that appears on higher trims. Select adds dark tinted rear privacy glass and 18-inch wheels, while Preferred and Premium bring additional comfort and convenience upgrades.
• Powertrain: The CX-30 uses a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine with 186 horsepower and 186 pound-feet of torque, paired with a 6-speed sport automatic transmission. It does not offer a turbocharged engine option, and AWD is optional.
• Safety package: Every CX-30 includes adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane-keeping assistance, a reversing camera, a driver monitoring system, automatic high-beam LED headlights, rain-sensing automatic wipers, and 911 automatic emergency notification. Select adds blind-spot warning and rear cross-traffic warning, while Premium adds adaptive front lights.
• Infotainment: The CX-30 uses an 8.8-inch static display, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto require Select trim. Bluetooth calling and music streaming, text messaging support, HD Radio, Pandora, and Mazda Connected Services are standard.
• Fuel efficiency: The CX-30 AWD is expected to average 27 mpg in combined driving, and real-world testing returned 23.9 mpg.

Which 2020 Mazda CX-30 trim should I buy?

The 2020 Mazda CX-30 is offered in 3 trim levels: Select, Preferred, Premium.

Here's the short version:

• Select: This is the best-value trim because it adds Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus blind-spot warning and rear cross-traffic warning. It also brings the visual upgrades that help the CX-30 look more complete.
• Preferred: Choose this if you want a more upscale feel and are willing to pay for additional comfort and convenience features. It builds on Select without changing the CX-30’s core character.
• Premium: This is the trim to choose if you want the most complete CX-30 experience, including the head-up display, Bose premium audio, and adaptive front lights. It is the best fit if you want the most polished version of the SUV.

The safety package is especially strong across the lineup, but the base version misses some of the most useful convenience and driver-assistance upgrades.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Mazda CX-30?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to shop carefully without rushing.

• Deal availability: 37.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 591 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.16% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 72.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $18,021, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Mazda CX-30's resale value?

The current average of $18,742 sits slightly below last year's $19,353.

That softer pricing suggests the CX-30 has moved into a more buyer-friendly position, which can help future sellers if they buy at the right price today. If you purchase near the lower end of the range, you reduce the risk of overpaying and improve your odds of holding value better over time. The model’s strong safety reputation and broad owner satisfaction should help support demand when it is time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.57/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 Mazda CX-30 safe?

The 2020 Mazda CX-30 earns a Top Safety Pick rating from IIHS and five-star ratings in every NHTSA crash test, with a four-star rollover resistance rating.

It earns a 10/10 safety score from our experts.

Every CX-30 comes with adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane-keeping assistance, a reversing camera, a driver monitoring system, automatic high-beam LED headlights, rain-sensing automatic wipers, and 911 automatic emergency notification. Select trim adds blind-spot warning and rear cross-traffic warning, while Premium trim adds adaptive front lights. One caveat is that the standard headlights are rated Poor by IIHS, so the best crash-test result is tied to Premium trim.

Should I buy a 2020 Mazda CX-30 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 37.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 72.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.16% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.57/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It offers a polished small-SUV package with strong safety and a premium feel for the class.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $19,270, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $18,742 average.
• It adds a turbocharged, more upscale performance-focused version.

The bottom line: If you want the better value today, the 2020 is the smarter starting point because pricing has softened and the safety and ownership signals are strong. If you are willing to spend more for a newer-year turbocharged variant, the 2021 is the better secondary path.
