Used 2020 Mazda MX-5 Miata for Sale near Arizona

How much does the 2020 Mazda MX-5 Miata cost?

Prices are up 2.81% year-over-year — a sign of continued demand for this model year.

There are 214 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2020 Mazda MX-5 Miata a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Mazda MX-5 Miata earns a 4.9/5 user rating, which points to very strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its fun driving experience, eye-catching looks, and impressive performance. That makes sense if you want an engaging sports car that still feels modern and refined, while accepting that limited space makes it less practical for everyday use. With 30.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2020 Mazda MX-5 Miata reliable?

Owners rate it 4.9/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Drivers’ feedback also points to a car that feels fun, impressive, and enjoyable to live with over time, which is encouraging if you want something you can count on for regular use. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about mechanical confidence and more about whether the car’s limited practicality fits your needs.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Mazda MX-5 Miata?

At 70.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection if the car has any accident history. Focus on body condition, panel alignment, and signs of hard use, since a small sports car can hide wear that matters more than it would on a typical commuter. If you are comparing multiple listings, give extra weight to the cleanest example rather than chasing the lowest sticker price.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Mazda MX-5 Miata?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on the right car.

• Deal availability: 30.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 214 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices are up 2.81% year-over-year.

If you find a listing below $22,938, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Mazda MX-5 Miata's resale value?

The current average of $25,192 sits slightly above last year's $24,503.

That upward move suggests the market still values this model year well, which can help support resale strength if you buy carefully. A car that holds demand while staying in a relatively tight price band is often easier to resell later, especially when it has broad enthusiast appeal. Strong condition and a clean history should matter even more if you want to protect your exit value.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Mazda MX-5 Miata or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 30.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 70.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices are up 2.81% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2019 if:

• At $24,617, the 2019 costs less than the current year's $25,192 average.
• It delivers sharp handling and strong value.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $25,634, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $25,192 average.
• It keeps the Miata formula with engaging driving and a manual option.

The bottom line: The 2020 is the best all-around pick if you want the strongest mix of owner satisfaction, market support, and current-year pricing. If you are more price-sensitive, the 2019 is the better value play, while the 2021 makes sense if you want to spend a bit more for a newer alternative.
