How much does the 2020 Hyundai Tucson cost?

Prices have softened 7.19% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,022 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2020 Hyundai Tucson a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Hyundai Tucson earns a 4.7/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Reviewers repeatedly praise its spacious interior, smooth ride, and value for money, and the model’s safety and tech features are also a recurring strength. If you want a compact SUV that emphasizes everyday usability, comfort, and practicality, this year fits that brief well. With 34.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2020 Hyundai Tucson reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The review summary also points to a dependable ownership experience, with owners describing the Tucson as a vehicle they appreciate for its trouble-free feel, value, and everyday usefulness. The repeated praise for comfort and consistency suggests it is the kind of SUV many drivers can count on over the long term.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure a specific example has been maintained well and hasn’t been compromised by prior damage or neglect.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Hyundai Tucson?

At 65.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, especially if the price looks unusually attractive. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection so you can check for hidden bodywork, uneven wear, or signs of poor repairs. Focus closely on overall condition, since a clean-looking listing can still hide past damage or maintenance shortcuts.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Hyundai Tucson?

This looks like a moderate market where selective buyers can still find value if they shop carefully.

• Deal availability: 34.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,022 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.19% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 65.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $15,720, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Hyundai Tucson's resale value?

The current average of $15,762 sits slightly below last year's $16,984.

That softer pricing suggests the Tucson is in a buyer-friendly phase right now, which can make it easier for future sellers to attract interest if they price competitively. The current market also shows that demand is still present, but buyers have more leverage than they did a year ago. If you plan to resell later, buying well today matters because your eventual return will depend heavily on how much you pay upfront.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Hyundai Tucson or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 34.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 65.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.19% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $16,844, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $15,762 average.
• It adds a final-year version of the generation with more tech and safety equipment.

The bottom line: You should start with the 2020 if your priority is value and a lower purchase price. If you can stretch your budget and want the newer final-year version with more equipment, the 2021 is the better secondary path.
