How much does the 2019 Hyundai Tucson cost?

Prices have softened 6.01% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,254 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2019 Hyundai Tucson a good car?

Yes — the 2019 Hyundai Tucson earns a 4.7/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers commonly praise its spacious interior, great handling, and good value for money, and they also like the updated features and luxury amenities. For you, that makes it a sensible pick if you want a compact SUV that emphasizes everyday usability and value. With 34.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still meaningful shopping opportunity in the market.

Is the 2019 Hyundai Tucson reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback highlights a dependable-feeling ownership experience, with drivers repeatedly pointing to the Tucson as a vehicle they can count on for daily use. That said, the same feedback also notes the standard engine’s modest power and weaker gas mileage, so your long-term ownership risk is less about major appeal and more about whether the drivetrain matches your expectations.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Hyundai Tucson?

At 63.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with prior damage. After that, prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially if the listing price looks unusually attractive. Focus on overall condition, repair quality, and signs of uneven wear so you can avoid paying strong money for a car that needs catch-up maintenance.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Hyundai Tucson?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 34.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,254 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.01% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 63.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $13,990, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Hyundai Tucson's resale value?

The current average of $13,990 sits slightly below last year's $14,884.

That price movement suggests the Tucson has softened enough to give you a better entry point today, but it also means future resale gains may be more gradual if the market stays soft. If you buy well now, you may have less downside risk than someone who paid closer to last year’s average. Strong condition and a clean history will matter more when it comes time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Hyundai Tucson or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 34.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 63.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.01% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2019 if you want the refreshed styling, strong owner satisfaction, and a market that still offers some deal potential. If your priority is stretching your budget as far as possible, a nearby year may be worth comparing, but the 2019 remains the better all-around choice when you want a balanced mix of value, usability, and updated features.
