Used 2020 Honda Ridgeline for Sale nearTrenton, NJ

How much does the 2020 Honda Ridgeline cost?

Prices have softened 5.92% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 934 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2020 Honda Ridgeline a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Honda Ridgeline earns 4.5/5 from owners and 7.3/10 from our experts. The standout strength is Form and function at 10/10.

Owners consistently praise its comfort, smooth ride, quiet cabin, and practical cargo space, and they also value the safety technologies and versatile features. The main trade-offs are its potentially polarizing design and unintuitive technology. For you, that means the Ridgeline makes the most sense if you want a truck that feels easygoing and useful for everyday driving rather than one built around maximum capability. Good and great deals account for 36.5% of listings, which suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities in the market.

Is the 2020 Honda Ridgeline reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with many shoppers highlighting the truck’s comfort and practical usefulness over time. The expert evaluation also emphasizes that the Ridgeline is built for everyday use and long-term livability, with a smooth, easygoing character that should appeal if you want something you can count on. Honda’s thoughtful packaging and standard safety tech add to that sense of confidence. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about outright durability and more about whether the truck’s technology and feature set still feel intuitive enough for your needs.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Honda Ridgeline?

At 72.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-mileage truck or one with visible cosmetic wear. Focus on condition, technology operation, and evidence of prior bodywork, since the market includes a meaningful number of vehicles with accident histories. If you want the best ownership experience, pay close attention to how the cabin electronics and driver-assistance features behave in real use.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Sport and RTL are the more basic trims, while RTL-E and Black Edition add more equipment. The base setup includes the 8.0-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Honda Sensing, but the higher trims add features like SiriusXM satellite radio, HD Radio, navigation, an eight-speaker premium sound system, automatic high-beam headlights, blind-spot warning, and rear cross-traffic warning.
• Powertrain: The 3.5-liter V6 makes 280 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque, paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard on Sport and RTL, while i-VTM4 all-wheel drive is optional on those trims and standard on RTL-E and Black Edition.
• Safety package: Honda Sensing is standard and includes adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, and lane-keep assist. RTL-E and Black Edition add automatic high-beam headlights, blind-spot warning, and rear cross-traffic warning.
• Infotainment: The standard system uses an 8.0-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. RTL-E and Black Edition add SiriusXM satellite radio, HD Radio, navigation, and an eight-speaker premium sound system.
• Fuel efficiency: The Ridgeline all-wheel drive gets 21 mpg combined.

Which 2020 Honda Ridgeline trim should I buy?

The 2020 Honda Ridgeline is offered in 4 trim levels: Sport, RTL, RTL-E, and Black Edition.

Here's the short version:

• Sport: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core Ridgeline formula with the V6, the 8.0-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Honda Sensing. It makes sense if you want the lowest-cost way into the model and can live without the extra convenience and premium features.
• RTL: This trim adds a more upscale feel while staying close to the essentials, and it’s the best-value choice if you want a nicer daily driver without jumping too far up the price ladder. It suits you if comfort matters more than premium audio or navigation.
• RTL-E: This is the sweet spot if you want the most complete mix of equipment and capability. It adds i-VTM4 standard, plus navigation, SiriusXM satellite radio, HD Radio, an eight-speaker premium sound system, automatic high-beam headlights, blind-spot warning, and rear cross-traffic warning.
• Black Edition: This is the most fully equipped version, and it builds on RTL-E with the same added safety and tech content while leaning into the top-end presentation. It fits you best if you want the most premium Ridgeline experience available.

Honda Sensing is standard, while RTL-E and Black Edition add blind-spot warning and rear cross-traffic warning.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Honda Ridgeline?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop carefully and still find value.

• Deal availability: 36.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 934 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.92% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 72.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $25,289, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Honda Ridgeline's resale value?

The current average of $25,401 sits slightly below last year's $27,001.

That softer pricing suggests the Ridgeline has become more accessible for used buyers, but it also means future sellers may face a more competitive market. If you buy well now, you may benefit from the current dip in prices, but resale gains are likely to depend on condition, mileage, and equipment. Trucks with strong owner satisfaction ratings tend to hold demand better, and this model year fits that pattern.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 Honda Ridgeline safe?

The 2020 Honda Ridgeline earns top marks in all but the small overlap frontal impact test for the front passenger, which results in an "acceptable" score. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration gives it five-star ratings across the board except for a four-star rollover resistance rating.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda Sensing is standard and includes adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, and lane-keep assist. RTL-E and Black Edition add automatic high-beam headlights, blind-spot warning, and rear cross-traffic warning. The main caveat is that the lane-departure warning can feel intrusive, the forward-collision warning can be overeager, and the adaptive cruise control could be smoother.

Should I buy a 2020 Honda Ridgeline or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 36.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 72.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.92% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• Honda Sensing is standard, and the 2020 model adds an 8.0-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $27,038, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $25,401 average.
• It brings a more traditional truck look.

The bottom line: If you want the better value today, the 2020 is the smarter buy because pricing has softened and the equipment list is strong. If you’re willing to pay more for a fresher look, the 2021 is the better path.
