Is the 2020 Dodge Journey a good car?

Generally — the 4/5 user rating suggests you can feel reasonably confident if the vehicle fits your needs and budget. That kind of score points to broad owner satisfaction, especially for shoppers who value a straightforward used-car purchase.

With 30.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a meaningful chance to find a competitively priced example.

Is the 2020 Dodge Journey reliable?

Owners rate it 4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

For used buyers, that suggests ownership risk is more about the specific vehicle you choose than the model name alone, so condition and maintenance history should guide your decision.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Dodge Journey?

At 64% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report on any promising listing and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection before you commit. Focus closely on body condition, signs of prior repair, and whether wear matches the mileage and asking price.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Dodge Journey?

This is a moderate market, so you can shop selectively without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 30.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 700 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.18% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 64.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $12,041, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Dodge Journey's resale value?

The current average of $12,041 sits slightly below last year's $14,031.

That price movement suggests the model has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help future sellers if they buy at the right price today. If you keep the vehicle in good condition and avoid overpaying now, you may have a better chance of limiting your loss later. Stronger demand tends to follow vehicles that shoppers perceive as fairly priced and easy to own.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Dodge Journey or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 30.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 64% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.18% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of price relief and inventory, the 2020 is the better starting point, especially if you can verify condition and history carefully. If you're highly price-sensitive, keep comparing nearby years and focus on the cleanest, best-documented example rather than chasing the lowest sticker price alone.
