Used 2020 Dodge Charger for Sale nearLouisville, KY

How much does the 2020 Dodge Charger cost?

Prices have softened 4.67% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,329 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2020 Dodge Charger a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Dodge Charger earns a 4.93/5 user rating and an 8.5/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Performance, Form and function, and Technology.

Owners consistently praise its powerful performance, eye-catching design, and spacious, comfortable cabin. The review summary also points to a smooth ride and handling, which matters if you want a sedan that feels composed in daily driving while still delivering muscle-car character.

The main trade-offs are that lower trims can feel underwhelming compared with the stronger versions, and some shoppers wish for more luxury features. That fits the Charger’s use case well: it works as a practical family sedan, but it is most appealing if you want everyday usability with a more exciting personality than a typical commuter car.

Good and great deals account for 26.8% of listings, so you still have room to shop selectively.

Is the 2020 Dodge Charger reliable?

Owners rate it 4.93/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a car people tend to trust for its strong performance, comfort, and everyday livability. That kind of response usually suggests the Charger delivers a dependable ownership experience when you choose the right trim and keep up with maintenance.

The expert evaluation also emphasizes the Charger’s broad powertrain lineup and its ability to serve as a usable daily driver, which supports the idea that it can be a solid long-term companion if you buy carefully. If you are shopping used, the biggest ownership risk is choosing a neglected example, especially one that has been driven hard or skipped routine service.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Dodge Charger?

At 56.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you are considering a higher-performance trim. Pay close attention to signs of prior bodywork, uneven tire wear, brake condition, and any evidence that the car was modified or driven aggressively.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The SXT comes with 17-inch alloy wheels, remote start, push-button start, power-adjustable front seats, rear parking sensors, and a 7-inch touchscreen. The GT adds 20-inch wheels, a more pronounced lower front spoiler, a rear trunk lip spoiler, a hood scoop, dual-zone climate control, a WiFi hot spot, HD radio, and an 8.4-inch screen. The Hellcat adds leather upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, and blind-spot monitoring.
• Powertrain: The SXT and GT use a 3.6-liter V6 with 292 horsepower in the SXT and 300 horsepower in the GT. The R/T uses a 5.7-liter Hemi V8 with 370 hp and 395 lb-ft of torque, while the R/T Scat Pack uses a 6.4-liter Hemi V8 with 485 hp and 475 lb-ft of torque. The Hellcat uses a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 with 707 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque. AWD is available on the SXT and GT.
• Safety package: Standard safety features include front- and side-impact airbags, traction control, and rear parking sensors. Available driver assistance includes forward-collision avoidance with automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, automatic high-beams, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and rain-sensing windshield wipers. These features are not standard across the lineup.
• Infotainment: The SXT uses a 7-inch touchscreen, while other trims use an 8.4-inch touchscreen. The system includes standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus Bluetooth and USB connectivity. Available features include satellite radio, HD radio, and navigation.
• Fuel efficiency: The most efficient version returns 19 mpg city, 30 highway, 23 combined. With AWD, that drops to 18 mpg city, 27 highway, 21 combined. The R/T returns 16 mpg city, 25 highway, 19 combined, and the Hellcat Widebody returns 12 mpg city, 21 highway, 15 combined.

Which 2020 Dodge Charger trim should I buy?

The 2020 Dodge Charger is offered in 4 trim levels: SXT, GT, R/T, and Hellcat.

Here's the short version:

• SXT: This is the entry point, and it gives you the Charger’s core formula with the 3.6-liter V6, a 7-inch touchscreen, remote start, push-button start, rear parking sensors, and power-adjustable front seats. It makes sense if you want the most affordable way into the lineup and value the car’s space and style more than maximum power.
• GT: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds a more aggressive look, the larger 8.4-inch screen, dual-zone climate control, a WiFi hot spot, HD radio, and the stronger 300-horsepower V6. If you want a better-equipped Charger without jumping into V8 pricing, this is the trim to focus on.
• R/T: This trim brings the 5.7-liter Hemi V8, upgraded performance suspension, and active exhaust, so it is the right choice if you want a clear step up in muscle-car character. It is the trim to buy if sound and straight-line punch matter more than maximizing value.
• Hellcat: This is the top performance choice, with the supercharged 6.2-liter V8, leather upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, and blind-spot monitoring. It suits you if you want the most extreme Charger experience and are willing to pay for it.

Advanced safety features are available, but they are not standard on the lineup.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Dodge Charger?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient.

• Deal availability: 26.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,329 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.67% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 56.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $22,708, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Dodge Charger's resale value?

The current average of $23,254 sits slightly below last year's $24,393.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can help you as a buyer today but may also limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you buy at the right price and keep the car in strong condition, you should be better positioned than someone who pays near the top of the range.

The Charger’s broad appeal helps support demand, especially for shoppers who want a practical sedan with more personality than average. Stronger trims and well-kept examples should hold interest better than neglected cars, particularly because buyers in this segment often care about condition and equipment.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.93/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 Dodge Charger safe?

The Charger earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety features include a full array of front- and side-impact airbags, traction control, and rear parking sensors. Available driver-assistance features include forward-collision avoidance with automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, automatic high-beams, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and rain-sensing windshield wipers.

A key caveat is that many of the advanced safety features are optional rather than standard, so you should check the equipment list carefully if safety tech matters to you. The crash-prevention technology earned the highest score of Superior in IIHS testing.

Should I buy a 2020 Dodge Charger or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 26.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 56.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.67% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.93/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It combines sedan practicality with a performance-focused personality and available all-wheel drive.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $26,366, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $23,254 average.
• It adds a new track-ready variant that pushes the Hellcat V8 further.

The bottom line: If you want the better value, the 2020 is the smarter buy because prices have eased and the model still delivers the Charger’s core strengths. If you are willing to spend more for a newer year and a more extreme performance option, the 2021 is the path to consider.
