Is the 2020 Chrysler 300 a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Chrysler 300 earns a 4.8/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers commonly praise its smooth and quiet ride, good power, and ample space, and many also like its affordability and distinctive design. For you, that makes it a strong fit if you want a roomy, full-size sedan with a comfortable, traditional feel rather than a smaller or more modern alternative. Is the 2020 Chrysler 300 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Drivers describe it as well-built, smooth, quiet, and dependable, with many noting that it delivers good power and a comfortable daily driving experience. Those themes suggest a sedan that can be counted on for steady ownership rather than constant attention. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is making sure the specific car you choose has been maintained well and has no hidden condition issues.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Chrysler 300?

At 59.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can confirm accident records, title status, and ownership patterns before you commit. Then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the car has higher mileage or visible wear. Focus on overall condition, since a large sedan like this can be a great value when it has been cared for properly.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Chrysler 300?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to shop carefully without rushing.

• Deal availability: 28.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 611 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.93% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 59.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $17,793, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Chrysler 300's resale value?

The current average of $18,054 sits slightly below last year's $19,824.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point. If you plan to resell later, the current pricing trend means your future value will depend heavily on how well you preserve condition and mileage. Strong demand for a roomy, comfortable sedan can help, but the model’s age and softer pricing mean you should buy with resale in mind.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Chrysler 300 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 28.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 59.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.93% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $19,646, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $18,054 average.
• It adds available all-wheel drive and a V8 option.

The bottom line: If you want the better value today, the 2020 is the stronger buy because it combines lower pricing with solid owner satisfaction. If you are willing to spend more for added powertrain choice, the 2021 is the better secondary path.
