How much does the 2020 Chevrolet Suburban cost?

Prices have softened 18.69% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,733 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2020 Chevrolet Suburban a good car?

Yes — the 4.8/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its spaciousness, smooth ride, and towing capability, and the model’s family-friendly, cargo-hauling, long-haul use case fits buyers who need one vehicle to do a lot of work. The market also shows 35.9% of listings as good or great deals, which adds to the appeal if you’re shopping carefully.

Is the 2020 Chevrolet Suburban reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Drivers describe it as dependable for family duty, towing, and hauling large cargo, and the feedback also points to a vehicle people can count on for everyday use. Some owners do mention concerns about fuel economy and certain electronics, so a used example is best approached with a careful inspection and a strong service-history review to reduce long-term ownership risk.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Chevrolet Suburban?

At 67.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

Start with a vehicle history report so you can confirm accident records, title status, and service history before you go any further. Put inspection priority on body condition, panel alignment, and signs of prior repair, then focus on how the electronics, infotainment, and driver-assistance features operate in real-world use. Because this is a large, capability-focused SUV, you should also pay close attention to overall wear from towing, hauling, and heavy family use.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Chevrolet Suburban?

This is a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting a deep bargain on every listing.

• Deal availability: 35.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,733 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.69% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 67.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $25,157, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Chevrolet Suburban's resale value?

The current average of $25,157 sits slightly below last year's $30,938.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point today. For a future seller, that also means resale performance will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle has been maintained. A clean history and strong presentation matter more when the broader market has softened.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Chevrolet Suburban or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 35.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 67.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.69% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $37,122, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $25,157 average.
• It adds a new turbodiesel option for better fuel economy.

The bottom line: If you want the better value play, the 2020 is the stronger starting point because it combines a lower average price with solid owner satisfaction and a meaningful share of deal-priced listings. If you’re willing to spend more for a newer-year option and want the added diesel choice, the 2021 is the better secondary path.
