Used 2020 Chevrolet Corvette for Sale near New York

How much does the 2020 Chevrolet Corvette cost?

Prices have softened 4.01% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,151 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2020 Chevrolet Corvette a good car?

Yes — 4.84/5 from owners, and the expert rating is 8.67/10. The model scores 10/10 across Performance, Cost effectiveness, and Technology.

Owners repeatedly praise the Corvette’s performance, stunning looks, and value as a near-supercar. The mid-engine design and strong handling also come through as recurring positives, which fits a car aimed at buyers who want serious speed and a more exotic feel.

The main trade-offs are poor visibility and limited cargo space, so you’re giving up some everyday practicality for the payoff in driving excitement. That makes the Corvette a better fit if you want a dramatic sports car first and a daily commuter second.

Good and great deals account for 38.6% of listings, which suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities in the market.

Is the 2020 Chevrolet Corvette reliable?

Owners rate it 4.84/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. The owner summary also points to a car that feels thrilling, well-liked, and worth the money, with the kind of performance and design that keep owners enthusiastic over time.

The expert review reinforces that sense of dependability by describing the Corvette as a world-class sports car with a powertrain and chassis that feel highly sorted. It also notes that Chevy includes the first scheduled maintenance service for free, which is a nice ownership perk.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about mechanical drama and more about whether the car has been driven and maintained with the care its performance demands.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Chevrolet Corvette?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because a sports car like this can attract hard use, cosmetic damage, or modified examples. A pre-purchase inspection should focus on the condition of the brakes, suspension, tires, and any low-clearance bodywork. You’ll also want to pay close attention to visibility-related equipment and whether the car’s features work as intended.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base Stingray 1LT Coupe is the stripped-down starting point, while 2LT and 3LT add the kinds of features many buyers will want. The base trim is the one most likely to feel light on comfort and convenience equipment, while 3LT brings a much richer interior and more premium materials.
• Powertrain: The car uses a naturally aspirated 6.2-liter V8 with 490 hp and 465 lb-ft of torque in standard tune, or 495 hp and 470 lb-ft with the Z51 Package or optional performance exhaust. The eight-speed dual-clutch transmission is standard, and the Z51 setup adds cooling, an electronic limited-slip differential, a performance axle ratio, performance suspension tuning, and upgraded brakes.
• Safety package: The Corvette includes a standard high-definition reversing camera, rear parking assist sensors, and Teen Driver technology. On 2LT and 3LT, you also get blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, a curb-view camera system, and a rear camera mirror.
• Infotainment: The standard setup uses an 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, OnStar connected services, WiFi, Amazon Alexa, and Bluetooth pairing. 2LT and 3LT add satellite radio, navigation, and a 14-speaker Bose Performance Series audio system.
• Fuel efficiency: The Corvette is rated at 15 mpg city, 27 mpg highway, and 19 mpg combined.

Which 2020 Chevrolet Corvette trim should I buy?

The 2020 Chevrolet Corvette is offered in 3 trim levels: Stingray 1LT Coupe, 2LT, and 3LT.

Here's the short version:

• Stingray 1LT Coupe: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core Corvette experience at the lowest price. It makes sense if you care most about the drivetrain and want to keep the purchase as focused as possible.
• 2LT: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds the features that make the car easier to live with, including the head-up display and more safety and convenience equipment.
• 3LT: This is the most upscale choice, with Cadillac-grade leather and materials, plus the richest cabin presentation. It suits you best if you want the most premium interior and don’t mind paying more for it.

The safety-package upgrades are concentrated in 2LT and 3LT, so those trims are the ones to target if you want the most confidence-inspiring feature set.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Chevrolet Corvette?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 38.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,151 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.01% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 85.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $62,877, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Chevrolet Corvette's resale value?

The current average of $62,877 sits slightly below last year's $65,502.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point. For a future seller, it also means resale value may depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the car is equipped.

Because the Corvette still has strong enthusiast appeal, well-kept examples should remain easier to move than ordinary sports cars. Higher-demand trims and clean-history cars are likely to hold buyer interest better than rougher or less desirable examples.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.84/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 Chevrolet Corvette safe?

The 2020 Chevrolet Corvette is not for you if you want a car loaded with advanced driver-assistance systems. You drive this car. It does not drive you.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

The standard safety equipment includes a high-definition reversing camera, rear parking assist sensors, and Teen Driver technology. On 2LT and 3LT, you also get blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, a curb-view camera system, and a rear camera mirror.

The biggest safety caveat is the Corvette’s downright atrocious rear visibility, which is why the camera-based aids matter so much. A paid OnStar Safety & Security subscription adds automatic crash response, crisis assist, and emergency services.

Should I buy a 2020 Chevrolet Corvette or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 38.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.01% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.84/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The mid-engine redesign delivers 2.9-second 0-60 mph performance and a 194 mph top speed.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $64,387, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $62,877 average.
• It adds a convertible option for a more visceral open-air driving experience.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of price, performance, and market availability, the 2020 is the smarter buy. If you’re willing to spend more for the convertible experience, the 2021 is the better path.
