That price decline suggests the Q5 has become more accessible for buyers, but it also means future sellers may face a softer market than they would have a year ago. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Audi Q5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 38.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 75.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.06% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $21,486, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $18,783 average.
• It adds a plug-in hybrid option for buyers who want electrified driving.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2020 if you want the better value and a strong mix of comfort, equipment, and owner satisfaction. If you’re willing to pay more for a newer model with a plug-in hybrid option, the 2021 is the better secondary path.
