How much does the 2019 Volvo S60 cost?

There are 293 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2019 Volvo S60 a good car?

Yes — the 2019 Volvo S60 earns a 4.8/5 user rating and an 8.3/10 expert rating. The model scores 10/10 across Look and feel, Cost effectiveness, and Safety.

Owners consistently praise its balance of performance, luxury, and style, along with a quiet, comfortable ride and excellent handling. The overview also points to strong value for money and standard advanced safety features, which makes it appealing if you want a distinctive small luxury sedan that still competes directly with mainstream rivals in the class.

The main trade-offs are its unintuitive technology and poor ergonomic design, and the expert notes also call out a steep learning curve for the infotainment system plus occasional lag or freezing. Even so, the S60’s strong styling and broad appeal help it stand out if you want a premium sedan with personality rather than a purely conventional cabin experience.

33.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are still some worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2019 Volvo S60 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner summary points to a car that feels dependable in daily use, with many drivers appreciating its quiet comfort, strong handling, and overall balance of performance and luxury. That kind of feedback matters when you’re shopping used, because it suggests the S60 can be a car you feel good about living with over time.

The expert notes also emphasize the S60’s composed driving character and strong value, which supports the idea that it’s built to be a satisfying long-term ownership proposition. If you’re buying used, the main risk is less about outright durability and more about making sure the specific car you choose has been maintained well and doesn’t have unresolved electronics or usability issues.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Volvo S60?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 75.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because a clean listing percentage does not replace a proper records review. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on the cabin electronics, infotainment behavior, and any signs of wear in the controls, since the S60’s biggest complaints center on usability rather than outright mechanical character. It also makes sense to compare trim equipment closely, because the standard features and optional packages can change the ownership experience a lot.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Momentum trim comes with a panoramic moonroof, heated wiper-fluid nozzles, dual-zone climate control, a 60/40-split rear bench seat, power front seats with memory for the driver, and standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The R-Design adds fog lights, power-retractable side-view mirrors, dual integrated exhaust outlets, and an R-Design steering wheel with paddle shifters, while the Inscription adds genuine leather upholstery, 4-zone climate control, and the contents of the Advance Package.
• Powertrain: The T5 uses a turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder with 250 horsepower and front-wheel drive. The T6 adds turbocharging and supercharging for 316 hp with all-wheel drive, and the T8 plug-in hybrid combines the twin-charged engine with rear electric power for 400 net hp and a 21-mile all-electric range.
• Safety package: The standard safety setup includes front- and side-impact airbags, a reversing camera, a tire-pressure-monitoring system, forward-collision avoidance, lane-departure warning, and traffic-sign recognition. The Advance Package adds a head-up display, headlight washers, a 360-degree camera, active bending headlights, and Pilot Assist.
• Infotainment: The Sensus system uses a large touchscreen interface, and standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are included. The system is also described as having a steep learning curve, with some functions buried in menus and occasional lag or freezing.
• Fuel efficiency: The T6 is estimated at 21 mpg city, 32 highway, and 25 combined. The T5 is estimated at 24 mpg city, 36 highway, and 28 combined.

Which 2019 Volvo S60 trim should I buy?

The 2019 Volvo S60 is offered in 3 trim levels: Momentum, R-Design, and Inscription.

Here's the short version:

• Momentum: This is the best-value choice if you want the core S60 experience with a strong equipment list, including a panoramic moonroof, dual-zone climate control, power seats, and standard smartphone integration. It also gets the standard driver-assistance features, so you’re not giving up the safety basics.
• R-Design: This is the trim to choose if you want the sportier look and feel, with fog lights, paddle shifters, and unique exterior details. It suits you best if style and a more athletic presentation matter more than maximum luxury content.
• Inscription: This is the upscale pick, adding genuine leather upholstery, 4-zone climate control, and the Advance Package content. Choose it if you want the most comfort and the most complete feature set.

The Advance Package adds active bending headlights, a 360-degree camera, a head-up display, and Pilot Assist.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Volvo S60?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.

• Deal availability: 33.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 293 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.41% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $17,911, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Volvo S60's resale value?

The current average of $18,019 sits slightly below last year's $20,113.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the car more attractive to used buyers today but less favorable for a future seller trying to maximize return. If you buy at the right price and keep the car in strong condition, you may be able to soften the impact of depreciation, but the recent trend still points to a softer resale environment than a year ago.

The S60’s strong styling and owner satisfaction help support demand, especially among shoppers who want a distinctive small luxury sedan. That can help resale value hold up better than you might expect, but the price trend still means you should be realistic about future trade-in or private-sale expectations.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
