Is the 2019 Subaru Impreza a good car?

Yes — 4.67/5 is a strong user rating for a used compact car, and the 2019 Subaru Impreza’s appeal comes through clearly in its practical all-weather focus. The overview points to standard all-wheel drive, everyday usability, and a balance of serious performance with day-to-day practicality, so it fits you well if you want confidence in rough conditions without giving up basic commuting usefulness. It is also framed as affordable and practical fun, which makes it especially relevant if you value traction and utility over luxury. 34.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2019 Subaru Impreza reliable?

Owners rate it 4.67/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview suggests the 2019 Subaru Impreza’s reliability story is tied to its straightforward, practical mission rather than premium complexity. Its strengths are centered on all-wheel-drive confidence and everyday usability, while the tradeoffs include a rough ride, cheap interior materials, and the reality that many examples have been heavily used, abused, or modified. For used buyers, that means the biggest long-term ownership risk is less about the model’s basic concept and more about finding one that has been cared for properly.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Subaru Impreza?

At 64.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate cleaner examples from cars with accident or title concerns. After that, prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially on suspension, steering, and interior condition, since the overview points to rough daily-driving use and many heavily used or modified examples. Focus on signs of wear that match the car’s mileage and age, because condition will matter a lot more than the badge alone.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Subaru Impreza?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly on the right car.

• Deal availability: 34.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 945 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.05% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 64.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $13,896, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Subaru Impreza's resale value?

The current average of $14,348 sits slightly below last year's $14,954.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can work against you if you plan to sell soon. If you buy at the right price and keep the car in clean condition, you may be able to limit depreciation pressure, but the recent trend shows that resale values are not climbing right now. For a future seller, the key is to avoid overpaying today so you have more room to absorb normal market softening later.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.67/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Subaru Impreza or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 34.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 64.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.05% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.67/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the 2019 Subaru Impreza’s standard all-wheel-drive practicality and you find a clean, well-priced example, this is the year to target. If you are especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby years to see whether a cleaner or cheaper listing gives you a better overall value, but the 2019 remains a sensible choice when traction, usability, and straightforward ownership matter most.
