How much does the 2019 RAM 2500 cost?

Prices have softened 8.04% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,720 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for shoppers comparing trims and conditions.

Is the 2019 RAM 2500 a good car?

Yes — the 4.6/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the truck’s performance, comfort, towing capability, smooth ride quality, and upscale interior features, and many see it as a strong value for the features offered. That makes it a compelling fit if you want a heavy-duty truck that can handle serious work while still feeling refined for daily use. With 31.2% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a meaningful chance to find a competitive price.

Is the 2019 RAM 2500 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a truck that many drivers feel they can count on, especially for performance, towing, and comfort over time. That kind of dependable reputation matters if you plan to keep your truck for the long haul. For used buyers, the main ownership risk is less about the overall appeal and more about making sure the specific truck you choose has been well maintained.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 RAM 2500?

At 69.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can confirm accident records, title status, and ownership patterns before you get too far along. After that, prioritize a thorough inspection of the truck’s body, frame, and mechanical condition, especially if it has been used for towing or heavy work. Focus on signs of wear that could affect long-term durability, since condition matters a lot in a heavy-duty truck.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 RAM 2500?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile opportunities.

• Deal availability: 31.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,720 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.04% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 69.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $35,952, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 RAM 2500's resale value?

The current average of $35,955 sits slightly below last year's $39,098.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can make resale a little more competitive if you sell soon. If you buy at the right price and keep the truck in strong condition, you may be better positioned to limit depreciation pressure later. Trucks with broad appeal and strong owner satisfaction often hold buyer interest better than more ordinary used vehicles.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 RAM 2500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 31.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 69.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.04% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $38,450, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $35,955 average.
• It adds a more modern, upscale heavy-duty feel with stronger emphasis on luxury and technology.

The bottom line: If you want the better value play, the 2019 is the primary path because it combines strong owner satisfaction with a lower average price and meaningful deal availability. If you’re more price-sensitive and want to maximize savings, the 2019 is still the better starting point; if you’re willing to pay more for a newer-feeling truck, the 2020 is the secondary path.
