This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly on the right truck.

• Deal availability: 34.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,664 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.04% compared with last year.

Should I buy a 2021 RAM 2500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 34.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 75.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.04% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $38,070, the 2020 costs less than the current year's $39,044 average.
• It offers a more luxurious and innovative heavy-duty feel.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2021 if you want the stronger current-market mix of price, satisfaction, and inventory. If your top priority is saving money, the 2020 is the better value-oriented alternative, especially if you find one in excellent condition.
