Is the 2019 Mercedes-Benz GLE a good car?

Yes — the 2019 Mercedes-Benz GLE earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. The overview describes it as a luxury SUV with a conservative, familiar character, a major step forward in technology and interior design, and a cabin that stands out for its sweeping dashboard, huge display screens, and ambient lighting on some models. It also offers a wider range of versions, including seating for up to seven and multiple powertrain choices, so you can match it to your needs more easily. With 37.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a meaningful chance to find a competitive offer.

Is the 2019 Mercedes-Benz GLE reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview describes the 2019 GLE as generally dependable, which supports its case as a used luxury SUV. Its generous standard equipment and broad powertrain spread also suggest a well-developed model year with plenty of everyday usability. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure the specific vehicle has been maintained carefully, especially if it has higher-end equipment or a more complex configuration.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Mercedes-Benz GLE?

At 73.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can confirm accident records and ownership background before you commit. Then prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, with extra attention to body condition, interior wear, and how the technology and comfort features operate. Because this model is positioned as a premium SUV, condition matters a lot: a clean, well-kept example is more likely to deliver the ownership experience you want.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Mercedes-Benz GLE?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile opportunities.

• Deal availability: 37.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,557 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.15% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 73.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $30,267, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Mercedes-Benz GLE's resale value?

The current average of $30,364 sits slightly below last year's $33,056.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can work against future sellers if depreciation continues at the same pace. On the other hand, the current average still sits within a relatively tight year-round range, which can help support stability if demand holds. If you buy well and keep the vehicle in strong condition, you improve your odds of recovering more value later.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Mercedes-Benz GLE or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 37.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 73.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.15% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $27,133, the 2020 costs less than the current year's $30,364 average.
• The 2020 brings a full redesign with a roomier interior and newer technology.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger satisfaction signal and a broad used-market selection, the 2019 is the safer primary path. If your priority is spending less and getting the redesigned interior and newer tech, the 2020 is the better price-sensitive alternative.
