Used 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLE for Sale nearLos Angeles, CA

How much does the 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLE cost?

Prices have softened 11.53% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,585 listings available, which suggests you have a workable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLE a good car?

Generally — the 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLE earns a 4.3/5 user rating and a 7.7/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Safety at 10/10.

The overview points to a low-roofed SUV coupe that leans hard into style without giving up utility roots, so you get a distinctive look rather than a conventional luxury SUV shape. It also brings a powerful engine and impressive technology, which helps offset the fact that the overall value proposition is less convincing.

The main trade-offs are the polarizing design, the fact that advanced safety features are not standard, and the poor value-for-money assessment. If you want something more expressive than a traditional SUV and care about tech and performance, this fits that use case well. The market shows 36.6% good and great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLE reliable?

Owners rate it 4.3/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview describes the 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLE as a vehicle that blends style, utility, and technology, while the expert evaluation highlights strong performance and a high-tech cabin. The performance notes also point to a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six with EQ Boost, which is designed to add extra power when needed and otherwise help the SUV conserve fuel.

On the ownership side, Mercedes includes complimentary scheduled maintenance for three years on some competing models, but that perk is not part of this vehicle’s standard story here. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that a complex, tech-heavy luxury SUV can be costly if prior maintenance was skipped.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLE?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on any candidate and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on a luxury SUV with a lot of technology and available driver-assistance equipment. Focus on condition, maintenance records, and whether the features you want were actually fitted on the specific vehicle you’re considering.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The cabin emphasizes high-end materials and a high-tech appearance, but the base setup does not include every advanced safety feature. That makes trim and option content especially important if you want a more complete ownership experience.
• Powertrain: The highlighted setup uses a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six with EQ Boost, a 48-volt mild-hybrid system that adds extra power when needed and helps the SUV conserve fuel.
• Safety package: The Driver Assistance Package adds 15 additional systems related to driver support and collision avoidance. Standard equipment includes forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, forward automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, and Pre Safe Sound.
• Infotainment: MBUX uses dual 12.3-inch screens under one piece of glass, with a digital instrument cluster and touchscreen. It includes navigation, satellite radio, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Mercedes Me connected services, wireless smartphone charging, and a Burmester surround-sound audio system.
• Fuel efficiency: The EPA says the test vehicle should have returned 19 mpg in combined driving, and the expert test returned 18.5 mpg.

Which 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLE trim should I buy?

The 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLE is offered in 3 trim levels: GLE 350, GLE 450 4Matic, AMG GLE 53.

Here's the short version:

• GLE 350: This is the entry point, and it suits you if you want the least expensive way into the GLE lineup and are comfortable starting with the base rear-wheel-drive setup.
• GLE 450 4Matic: This is the best-value trim if you want a stronger middle ground, since it adds the 4Matic AWD setup and sits between the base model and the AMG version.
• AMG GLE 53: This is the performance-focused choice, with the most powerful setup and the most upscale, tech-heavy presentation, but it also pushes you into a much pricier ownership lane.

The safety-package note to keep in mind is that the Driver Assistance Package adds 15 systems, so it’s worth seeking out if you want the fullest safety content.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLE?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 36.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,585 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.53% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 86.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $40,064, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLE's resale value?

The current average of $40,065 sits slightly below last year's $45,288.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer but may pressure resale if you plan to sell soon. If you buy at a favorable price now, you reduce the chance of taking a steep depreciation hit later. Strong equipment and desirable condition should matter more when it comes time to resell.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.3/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLE safe?

The 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLE is based on the standard GLE, which gets top safety ratings from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

It earns a 10/10 safety score from our experts.

Mercedes equips it with forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, forward automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, and Pre Safe Sound. If you want every safety system Mercedes offers for this SUV, the Driver Assistance Package adds 15 additional systems related to driver support and collision avoidance, including Traffic Jam Assist, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability, Active Lane Change Assist, and Active Emergency Stop Assist.

The main caveat is that advanced safety features are not standard, so you should confirm whether the vehicle you’re considering has the package you want.

Should I buy a 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLE or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 36.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.53% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.3/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• It pairs a distinctive coupe-like shape with strong tech and performance.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $37,927, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $40,065 average.
• It emphasizes comfort and technology with a broader lineup of powertrain choices.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $48,534, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $40,065 average.
• It adds a more polished feel, with a high-quality cabin and top-rate technology.

The bottom line: If you want the current-year balance of style, tech, and a softened market price, the 2022 is the primary pick. If you’re more price-sensitive, the 2021 is the better value play, while the 2023 makes sense if you want to spend more for a newer-feeling package.
