Used 2019 Mazda MAZDA3 for Sale nearBeaumont, TX

How much does the 2019 Mazda MAZDA3 cost?

Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.

There are 627 listings available, which gives you a meaningful amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2019 Mazda MAZDA3 a good car?

Yes — the 2019 Mazda MAZDA3 earns a 5/5 user rating and an 8/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Performance, and Safety.

Owners consistently praise the comfortable driving experience, smooth ride, upscale interior features, performance, and handling. In practical terms, that lines up with a car that feels more premium than many compact rivals and still delivers the engaging driving character Mazda is known for.

The main trade-offs are its unintuitive technology and cramped back seat. That means you may like it most if you want a refined commuter or stylish small car rather than maximum rear-seat space or the simplest infotainment setup.

The model’s 34.9% good or great deal share suggests there are still attractive listings in the market.

Is the 2019 Mazda MAZDA3 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a dependable-feeling ownership experience, with praise for the car’s comfortable ride and overall satisfaction. The expert evaluation reinforces that impression by describing the car as a solid value and emphasizing its composed, confidence-inspiring driving character.

If you’re shopping used, the main long-term ownership risk is less about outright durability and more about whether the specific car has been maintained well and suits your needs.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Mazda MAZDA3?

At 60.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a careful inspection of bodywork, alignment, and any signs of prior repair. Because the car’s appeal depends heavily on its refinement and driving feel, condition matters a lot more than mileage alone. You should also pay close attention to the cabin and technology, since the model’s usability can vary depending on how well the infotainment and interior features have held up.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base sedan is lighter on content than the base hatchback, while the hatchback adds 18-inch alloy wheels, rain-sensing wipers, automatic high beams, dual-zone automatic climate control, a drowsiness alert, synthetic leather upholstery, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a leather-wrapped shift knob. The base hatchback is the better value if you want more standard equipment.
• Powertrain: Every trim uses a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine with 186 horsepower, paired with a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission and front-wheel drive or available all-wheel drive. AWD is only available with the automatic.
• Safety package: Mazda’s i-Activsense suite includes automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, blind-spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, and driver-attention alerts. It is standard on the base hatchback, but not on the base sedan, where you need to move up to the Select Sedan trim for many of those features.
• Infotainment: The car uses an 8.8-inch MazdaConnect screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The system is remote-controlled rather than touch-operated, so you should make sure you’re comfortable with that setup.
• Fuel efficiency: The most efficient version returns 27 mpg city and 36 highway, while the least efficient version returns 24/32/27.

Which 2019 Mazda MAZDA3 trim should I buy?

The 2019 Mazda MAZDA3 is offered in 6 trim levels: Sedan, Select Sedan, Preferred Sedan, Premium Sedan, Hatchback, Preferred Hatchback.

Here's the short version:

• Sedan: This is the entry point, but it comes with less standard content than the base hatchback. You should only choose it if you want the lowest starting price and are comfortable giving up some equipment.
• Select Sedan: This is the smarter sedan choice because it picks up much of the equipment that makes the car feel more complete, including the safety content that is missing from the base sedan.
• Preferred Sedan: This trim adds upscale comfort and convenience features, including an 8-way power driver’s seat, heated front seats, power-adjustable side mirrors, satellite radio, and a 12-speaker Bose sound system.
• Premium Sedan: This is the most upscale sedan choice, adding leather seats, a power moonroof, a head-up display, adaptive headlights, and the manual transmission option.
• Hatchback: This is the recommended trim because it offers strong standard equipment, including 18-inch alloy wheels, rain-sensing wipers, automatic high beams, dual-zone automatic climate control, a drowsiness alert, synthetic leather upholstery, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a leather-wrapped shift knob.
• Preferred Hatchback: This trim builds on the hatchback with the same comfort and audio upgrades as the Preferred Sedan, making it a good pick if you want more luxury without going all the way to the top.

The safety package is standard on the base hatchback, but not on the base sedan.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Mazda MAZDA3?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to shop carefully.

• Deal availability: 34.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 627 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 60.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $15,921, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Mazda MAZDA3's resale value?

The current average of $16,923 sits slightly above last year's $16,883.

That small increase suggests the market has been stable rather than volatile, which is usually a good sign if you plan to sell later. A steady price pattern can help you estimate future value with more confidence, especially if you buy at a fair price today.

Strong owner satisfaction also helps support demand when it’s time to resell. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2019 Mazda MAZDA3 safe?

The 2019 Mazda MAZDA3 earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Mazda’s i-Activsense suite is standard on the base hatchback and includes automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, blind-spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, and driver-attention alerts. The main safety caveat is that many of those features are not standard on the base sedan, so you need to pay close attention to trim choice if safety equipment matters to you.

Should I buy a 2019 Mazda MAZDA3 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 34.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 60.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• Expert testing highlights its upscale feel, athletic driving character, and standard advanced safety features.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $17,677, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $16,923 average.
• It adds a more premium-feeling presentation and easier-to-use technology.

The 2019 is the better pick if you want the strongest mix of value, style, and driving enjoyment. If you’re willing to spend more for a slightly newer model with a more premium feel, the 2020 is the alternative to consider.

How does the 2019 Mazda MAZDA3 compare to the 2019 Honda Civic?

Our experts score the 2019 Mazda MAZDA3 8/10 and the 2019 Honda Civic 7.8/10. The Mazda feels more upscale and more engaging to drive, while the Civic brings a lower average used price and more listings to shop from. If you care most about refinement and driving character, the Mazda has the edge; if you want broader inventory and a slightly lower entry price, the Civic is the more practical search.
