CarGurus Analysis: 2019 Lincoln Nautilus
overall

Summary
With 703 currently listed for sale and an average price of $18,852, 34.3% of 2019 Lincoln Nautilus models for sale on CarGurus are rated as good or great deals.
Favorably reviewed: Owners rated the 2019 Lincoln Nautilus 4.82 / 5 stars and CarGurus experts gave it a 7.67 / 10.
75.5% of 2019 Nautilus models on CarGurus are accident free.
Why it stands out
The 2019 Lincoln Nautilus stands out as a newly named midsize luxury crossover that has just received an extensive refresh. It is a two-row SUV, and its appeal starts with its stylish design and the fact that it offers multiple powertrain options. That combination gives it a broader reach than many shoppers might expect from a vehicle that is still building recognition under its new name.
At the same time, the Nautilus is not without compromises. The base engine is described as underwhelming, and the interior materials feel cheap, which can blunt some of the premium impression Lincoln is aiming for. Even so, the 2019 Nautilus remains distinctive for buyers who want a comfortable, smooth-driving luxury crossover with a more polished look and a meaningful update over what came before.

My decision was based on other reviews. I deliberately searched for problems with the Nautilus and couldn’t find anything significant other than a possible class action law suit for the transmission. The car came with a lifetime power train warranty so no big deal, we’re covered. This is by far the smartest vehicle we’ve ever owned and I have titled over 100 vehicles. It is very comfortable inside. So many controls I haven’t learned all of them yet. I can say it looks like you can control just about everything from the steering wheel which makes it easier to focus on the road. 19 speakers sound awesome! I don’t get any harsh vibration noise from the deep base. I compared to a Land Rover Range Rover Evoque, a BMW X3/5 and a Genesis GV70. We bought the Nautilus at a little over trade-in value from a dealership as a one owner. With the lifetime warranty this may be our last car.

Ive done a lot of research and this brand comes up winning every time-- style, look and elements are all spectacular! Best thing Ive recognized is maintenance is much better cost wise when you compare to Audi, BMW, Jaguar or Mercedes. I have an X5 and those maintenance costs have been brutal.

| Year-Round High | $21,239 |
| Average Price a Year Ago | $21,235 |

Is the 2019 Lincoln Nautilus a good car?
Yes — the 2019 Lincoln Nautilus earns a 4.82/5 user rating and a 7.67/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Safety.
Owners consistently praise its stylish design, luxurious interior, and smooth driving experience. The review summary also points to comfort and advanced features as recurring strengths, along with better maintenance costs than some competing luxury brands.
The trade-offs are straightforward: the base engine is described as underwhelming, and the interior materials can feel cheap in places. That lines up with the overview, which frames this as a comfortable, smooth-driving two-row luxury crossover that still has some compromises beneath the polished surface.
Good and great deals account for 35.2% of listings, so you have a reasonable chance of finding a competitive price.
Is the 2019 Lincoln Nautilus reliable?
Owners rate it 4.82/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
The owner summary points to a vehicle that feels stylish, comfortable, and well liked over time, with buyers also noting better maintenance costs than some rivals. The expert review adds that the Nautilus includes 4 years or 50,000 miles of scheduled maintenance on Black Label models, which helps reduce early ownership friction.
The overall picture suggests a used Nautilus can be a reassuring long-term choice if you buy one that has been maintained properly and avoid examples with neglected wear or deferred service.
What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Lincoln Nautilus?
Accident-free inventory is solid at 75% — always verify the vehicle history report.
You should still check the history report carefully, because a clean listing percentage does not replace a proper records review. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on interior condition, electronics, and how the drivetrain feels under load. Since owner feedback highlights comfort and style but also mentions cargo-space and value concerns, make sure the specific vehicle’s condition matches the asking price.

- Trim level: The Black Label trim brings the most upscale cabin treatment, including soft leather, matte wood, padded dash and door materials, and distinctive interior finishes that are not part of lesser versions. Lower trims still feel plush, but the base cabin is less special, so you should compare interior materials closely if you want the most premium feel.
- Powertrain: The standard turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder makes 250 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque, while the optional twin-turbo 2.7-liter V6 makes 335 hp and 380 lb-ft. The V6 is the stronger choice for this heavier SUV, and the 8-speed automatic is described as smooth and unobtrusive.
- Safety package: Forward-collision alert with automatic braking, pedestrian detection, lane-keep assist, and blind-spot monitoring are standard. The Driver Assistance package adds adaptive cruise control and evasive steering assist, so check whether a used example has that package if you want more advanced driver support.
- Infotainment: Sync 3 is standard, along with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, built-in Wi-Fi, Waze integration, Amazon Alexa support, remote functions through the companion app, remote start, proximity entry, and a wireless charging pad. The system is described as fast and easy to use, so verify that all connected features work properly.
- Fuel efficiency: The Nautilus is EPA-rated at 19 to 21 mpg city, 25 to 27 highway, and 21 to 23 combined. The expert review also notes that real-world highway cruising did not exceed 20 mpg in testing.
Which 2019 Lincoln Nautilus trim should I buy?
The 2019 Lincoln Nautilus is offered in 4 trim levels: Standard, Select, Reserve, Black Label.
Here's the short version:
- Standard: This is the entry point, but you should treat it as the trim to buy only if price matters most. It gets the core luxury crossover formula, yet the review makes clear that the cabin’s cheaper-feeling materials and the base engine’s weaker performance are the main reasons to step up if your budget allows.
- Select: This is the trim most buyers should start with if they want a better balance of price and equipment. It sits in the middle of the lineup and is part of the range that rises into the mid to upper 40s, making it the likely value play if you want more content without jumping to the top-end Black Label.
- Reserve: This is the better choice if you want a more upscale feel without going all the way to the most expensive version. It should appeal to you if you care about comfort, style, and a more premium ownership experience, especially since the Nautilus is strongest when it leans into luxury rather than bargain pricing.
- Black Label: This is the trim to choose if you want the most distinctive cabin and the richest materials. It adds the most luxurious interior treatment, plus the available high-end seating and maintenance perks, so it suits you best if you value comfort and presentation over value.
The safety package note is simple: the Driver Assistance package adds adaptive cruise control and evasive steering assist, so look for that if you want the most advanced safety tech.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Lincoln Nautilus?
This looks like a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory and enough price softness to make comparison shopping worthwhile.
- Deal availability: 35.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 705 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 11.23% compared with last year.
- Clean inventory: 75.0% of listings are accident-free.
If you find a listing below $18,764, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2019 Lincoln Nautilus's resale value?
The current average of $18,850 sits slightly below last year's $21,235.
That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can be good news if you are buying now but less favorable if you are planning to sell soon. For a future seller, the main takeaway is that pricing pressure has been real, so holding value will depend more on condition, mileage, and equipment than on broad market momentum alone.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.82/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Is the 2019 Lincoln Nautilus safe?
The 2019 Lincoln Nautilus has not been tested by NHTSA or IIHS, but the mechanically identical 2018 MKX scored five-star ratings in all seven NHTSA categories, and the 2017 MKX earned a Top Safety Pick from IIHS.
It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.
Forward-collision alert with automatic braking, pedestrian detection, lane-keep assist, and blind-spot monitoring are standard. The Driver Assistance package adds adaptive cruise control and evasive steering assist, which broadens the safety tech if you find a well-equipped example.
Should I buy a 2019 Lincoln Nautilus or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2019 if:
- 35.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Accident-free inventory is solid at 75% — always verify the vehicle history report.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 11.23% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 4.82/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
- The 2019 stands out as a newly named, extensively refreshed two-row luxury crossover with a broader reach than many shoppers might expect.
The bottom line: If you want the refreshed design and a strong value position in the used market, the 2019 is the right year to target. If you are shopping mainly on price and want more equipment for the money, you should still compare listings carefully and focus on condition, because the best examples will matter more than the badge alone.
