CarGurus Analysis: 2019 Lincoln Nautilus
overall

Summary
With 72 currently listed for sale near Houston, TX and an average price of $18,440.00, 29.2% of 2019 Lincoln Nautilus models for sale on CarGurus are rated as good or great deals.
Favorably reviewed: Owners rated the 2019 Lincoln Nautilus 4.82 / 5 stars and CarGurus experts gave it a 7.67 / 10.
98.6% of 2019 Nautilus models on CarGurus are accident free.
Why it stands out
The 2019 Lincoln Nautilus stands out as a newly named midsize luxury crossover that arrives after an extensive refresh. It is a sedate two-row SUV, and that combination of a fresh identity and a significant upgrade gives it a clearer place in Lincoln’s lineup than its older naming scheme did. Its styling is one of its strengths, and the available multiple powertrain options add to its appeal for shoppers who want some choice in how the vehicle is configured.
At the same time, the 2019 Nautilus is not without compromises. The base engine is described as underwhelming, and the interior materials are said to feel cheap, which can matter in a segment where buyers expect a more polished cabin. Owner feedback also points to a stylish design, a luxurious interior, and a smooth driving experience, while some drivers feel the cargo space is inadequate for families and that the price may be too high for what is offered.

My decision was based on other reviews. I deliberately searched for problems with the Nautilus and couldn’t find anything significant other than a possible class action law suit for the transmission. The car came with a lifetime power train warranty so no big deal, we’re covered. This is by far the smartest vehicle we’ve ever owned and I have titled over 100 vehicles. It is very comfortable inside. So many controls I haven’t learned all of them yet. I can say it looks like you can control just about everything from the steering wheel which makes it easier to focus on the road. 19 speakers sound awesome! I don’t get any harsh vibration noise from the deep base. I compared to a Land Rover Range Rover Evoque, a BMW X3/5 and a Genesis GV70. We bought the Nautilus at a little over trade-in value from a dealership as a one owner. With the lifetime warranty this may be our last car.

Ive done a lot of research and this brand comes up winning every time-- style, look and elements are all spectacular! Best thing Ive recognized is maintenance is much better cost wise when you compare to Audi, BMW, Jaguar or Mercedes. I have an X5 and those maintenance costs have been brutal.

That matters if you want a luxury crossover that feels polished throughout, especially since this is a sedate two-row SUV aimed at comfort and style rather than sporty driving.
With its fresh identity, upgraded styling, and multiple powertrain options, it fits you best if you want a comfortable midsize luxury crossover with a strong feature set rather than a sharp-handling SUV. 31.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so there is still room to shop selectively.
Is the 2019 Lincoln Nautilus reliable?
Owners rate it 4.82/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
Owner feedback points to a comfortable, dependable-feeling SUV with better maintenance costs than some competitors, and the overall tone suggests you can count on it for everyday use. The expert review also describes the transmission as unobtrusive and well-behaved, which supports the impression of a well-sorted drivetrain.
The Black Label trim includes 4 years or 50,000 miles of scheduled maintenance, which is a useful ownership perk if you are shopping that version. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is making sure the vehicle was cared for properly, since luxury repairs and neglected maintenance can quickly erase the value advantage.
What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Lincoln Nautilus?
At 74.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a careful inspection of bodywork, panel alignment, and signs of prior repair. Because this model is positioned as a luxury crossover, you should also pay close attention to cabin condition, electronics, and how well the interior has held up.
Key things to evaluate:
- Trim level: The Black Label trim stands out for its more upscale interior treatment, including soft leather, matte wood, and richer trim details, while lesser versions still feel plush but do not get those same finishes.
- Powertrain: The base 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder makes 250 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque, while the optional twin-turbo 2.7-liter V6 makes 335 hp and 380 lb-ft of torque. The V6 is the better fit if you want stronger acceleration in this heavier SUV.
- Safety package: The Driver Assistance package adds adaptive cruise control and evasive steering assist. Standard equipment includes forward-collision alert with automatic braking, pedestrian detection, lane-keep assist, and blind-spot monitoring.
- Infotainment: Sync 3 includes Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, built-in Wi-Fi, Waze integration, Amazon Alexa support, remote functions through the companion app, remote start, proximity entry, and a wireless charging pad.
- Fuel efficiency: The Nautilus is EPA-rated between 19 and 21 mpg city, 25 to 27 mpg highway, and 21 to 23 mpg combined.
Which 2019 Lincoln Nautilus trim should I buy?
The 2019 Lincoln Nautilus is offered in 4 trim levels: Standard, Select, Reserve, Black Label.
Here's the short version:
- Standard: This is the trim to consider if you want the lowest entry point into the lineup and still want the core Nautilus experience. It gives you the fresh styling, standard tech, and the basic luxury feel, but it is also where you are most likely to notice the feature gaps versus the richer trims.
- Select: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it sits in the middle of the range and is described as rising into the mid- to upper-40s. It should give you a more satisfying balance of equipment and price than the base version without pushing you into the highest-cost trims.
- Reserve: Choose this if you want a more upscale feel and are willing to pay for it. It is the trim where Lincoln later made the Co-Pilot Plus package available in the next model year, which suggests this is the version shoppers often look to for added convenience and safety content.
- Black Label: This is the trim for you if you want the most luxurious cabin and do not mind paying for it. It brings the richest interior materials, distinctive design details, and the strongest premium presentation in the lineup.
The safety package adds useful driver-assistance features, but the standard suite already covers several key aids, so you should compare trims based on comfort, materials, and convenience equipment first.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Lincoln Nautilus?
This is a moderate market, so you can shop selectively without expecting a deep bargain on every listing.
- Deal availability: 31.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 694 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 11.03% compared with last year.
- Clean inventory: 74.1% of listings are accident-free.
If you find a listing below $18,904.26, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2019 Lincoln Nautilus's resale value?
The current average of $18,902 sits slightly below last year's $21,245.
That drop suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer today but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you buy at the right price, you reduce the chance of taking a steep depreciation hit from here.
The model's appeal still helps support future demand, especially because shoppers respond well to its styling, comfort, and premium feel. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.82/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Is the 2019 Lincoln Nautilus safe?
The Nautilus has not been tested by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) or the Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). However, NHTSA crash-tested the mechanically identical 2018 MKX, and it scored the maximum five stars in all seven categories. The IIHS awarded the 2017 MKX a Top Safety Pick for scoring the top Good rating in all six crash tests and another top Superior rating for its crash-avoidance features.
It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.
Standard safety equipment includes forward-collision alert with automatic braking, pedestrian detection, lane-keep assist, and blind-spot monitoring. The Driver Assistance package adds adaptive cruise control and evasive steering assist, which can help guide the driver around an obstacle in the road.
Should I buy a 2019 Lincoln Nautilus or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2019 if:
- 31.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- At 74.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 11.03% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 4.82/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
- The 2019 stands out as a newly named midsize luxury crossover after an extensive refresh, giving it a clearer identity and a more compelling place in Lincoln’s lineup.
The bottom line: If you want the refreshed Nautilus with strong styling, a comfortable ride, and a good amount of market inventory, the 2019 is the right place to focus. If you are especially price-sensitive, you can shop carefully for a lower-mileage, accident-free example and use the softened pricing to your advantage.
