How much does the 2019 Lexus IS cost?

There are 403 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2019 Lexus IS a good car?

The 2019 Lexus IS is a solid fit if you want a compact luxury sports sedan with a premium feel and a reputation for being fun to drive, especially if you do not often carry passengers. It earns a user rating of 3/5, which suggests a mixed but workable ownership experience for the right buyer.

Its appeal is strongest if you value a smaller sedan with upscale character and useful tech updates for the year, including Amazon Alexa and smartwatch integration. It is less compelling if you need rear-seat space or prioritize efficiency, since the cabin is tight in back and fuel economy is poor. The market shows 32.8% of listings as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2019 Lexus IS reliable?

The 2019 Lexus IS is presented as a compact luxury sedan with a strong reliability reputation, which is part of why it remains attractive to used buyers. It also sits within a well-established third generation with broad equipment availability and premium touches, reinforcing its appeal as a dependable upscale choice.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about the model’s basic character and more about finding one that has been cared for properly, since condition and maintenance history matter a lot in a premium sedan.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Lexus IS?

At 49.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report on any promising car and confirm whether prior damage was cosmetic or structural. Put inspection priority on body panels, alignment, tire wear, and signs of uneven repairs, then focus on overall condition rather than just mileage or trim level. Because this model is aimed at buyers who value premium feel, a clean, well-kept example is especially important.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Lexus IS?

This looks like a moderate buyer’s market, so you can be selective without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 32.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 403 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.80% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 49.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $23,531, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Lexus IS's resale value?

The current average of $24,071 sits slightly below last year's $25,020.

That softer pricing suggests the model has become a bit more accessible for used buyers, but it also means a future seller may need to price competitively to stand out. If you buy well now and keep the car in strong condition, you should be better positioned to protect value later. The current trend also hints that clean, well-documented examples may hold up better than average.

Should I buy a 2019 Lexus IS or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 32.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 49.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.80% compared with last year.

The bottom line: The 2019 Lexus IS makes sense if you want a compact luxury sedan with a premium feel, useful tech updates, and a price that has eased versus last year. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare it with nearby model years and focus on the cleanest, best-documented example rather than chasing the lowest sticker price.
