How much does the 2019 Hyundai Tucson cost?

Prices have softened 5.39% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,237 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2019 Hyundai Tucson a good car?

Yes — the 4.7/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its spacious interior, great handling, and good value for money, and many also like the updated features and available luxury amenities. In practical terms, that makes it a strong fit if you want a compact SUV that balances everyday usability with a well-equipped feel. The market also shows 31.1% of listings as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2019 Hyundai Tucson reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback points to a dependable ownership experience, with drivers highlighting the Tucson’s good value and the kind of everyday usability that tends to matter over the long haul. That said, some shoppers note that the standard engine can feel underpowered, so your best long-term outcome comes from choosing a well-maintained example that matches your expectations for performance and efficiency. For used buyers, the main ownership risk is ending up with a higher-mileage or poorly cared-for vehicle that doesn’t deliver the same trouble-free experience owners describe.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Hyundai Tucson?

At 64.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can confirm accident records, title status, and ownership history before you commit. Then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the listing price looks unusually attractive or the seller’s photos and description leave gaps. Focus your condition check on bodywork consistency, panel alignment, tire wear, and signs of uneven maintenance so you can separate a clean example from one that may need immediate spending.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Hyundai Tucson?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 31.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,237 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.39% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 64.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $14,190, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Hyundai Tucson's resale value?

The current average of $14,216 sits slightly below last year's $15,026.

That price movement suggests the Tucson has softened enough to create a better buying opportunity now, but it also means future sellers may face some pressure if the market stays soft. If you buy at a competitive price and keep the vehicle in strong condition, you improve your odds of limiting depreciation pain later. Strong demand for well-reviewed examples can help support resale, especially when shoppers see a model with broad appeal and good owner feedback.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Hyundai Tucson or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 31.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 64.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.39% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2019 is a smart choice if you want a well-liked Tucson with a softer used-car price and a broad selection of listings. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you may also want to compare nearby years to see whether a lower-priced alternative gives you similar value with a better individual listing condition.
