Used 2019 Honda Insight for Sale nearIndianapolis, IN

How much does the 2019 Honda Insight cost?

Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.

There are 187 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2019 Honda Insight a good car?

Yes — the 2019 Honda Insight earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.83/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Safety.

The overview frames it as a practical compact hybrid with a more traditional 4-door sedan shape, plenty of interior and trunk space, and cleaner styling than many hybrids. That makes it a strong fit if you want an efficient everyday car that still feels conventional rather than niche.

32.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2019 Honda Insight reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The expert review also points to a well-rounded package: the car is described as practical, efficient, and impressively safe, with a refined set of driver-assistance systems that work smoothly. The performance notes also suggest the hybrid system is straightforward to live with, since you simply gas it up and go rather than deal with plug-in charging.

The main long-term ownership risk for used buyers is making sure the car’s condition matches its mileage and history, especially because a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Honda Insight?

At 66.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially if the car has been in any collision. Focus on body condition, panel alignment, tire wear, and whether the hybrid and driver-assistance systems operate as expected.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base LX gets the core hybrid sedan formula, while EX and Touring add LaneWatch for the right-side blind spot. The Touring also adds leather power-adjustable seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, heated front seats, a power sunroof, rain-sensing wipers, fog lights, a 10-speaker premium sound system, navigation with real-time traffic, and Honda Link subscription services with a Wi-Fi hotspot.
• Powertrain: The car uses a 1.5-liter gasoline engine, an electric drive motor, a lithium-ion battery, and a CVT. The LX and EX are rated at 52 mpg in combined driving, while the Touring is rated at 48 mpg.
• Safety package: Every Insight includes a reversing camera, automatic high-beam headlights, adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, and lane-keeping assist. EX and Touring add LaneWatch, which covers only the right side.
• Infotainment: The system uses an 8-inch touchscreen. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are supported, and the Touring adds Honda Link Security, Honda Link Remote, and an available Wi-Fi hotspot.
• Fuel efficiency: The LX and EX are rated at 52 mpg combined, while the Touring is rated at 48 mpg combined. In testing, the car averaged 38.9 mpg on a mountainous loop.

Which 2019 Honda Insight trim should I buy?

The 2019 Honda Insight is offered in 3 trim levels: LX, EX, Touring.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the value play if you want the Insight’s core hybrid efficiency and standard safety tech without paying for extras. It keeps the strongest fuel-economy rating in the lineup and is the simplest way to get into the car.
• EX: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds LaneWatch while keeping the more efficient 52 mpg combined rating. If you want a better-equipped daily driver without stepping up to the pricier Touring, this is the trim to focus on.
• Touring: This is the most fully equipped version, adding leather power-adjustable seats, dual-zone climate control, heated front seats, a sunroof, rain-sensing wipers, fog lights, premium audio, navigation, and connected services. Choose it if you want the most comfort and tech, but it is the least efficient trim.

Every trim includes the core safety suite, and EX and Touring add LaneWatch.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Honda Insight?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly on the right car.

• Deal availability: 32.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 187 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 66.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $16,112, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Honda Insight's resale value?

The current average of $16,899 sits slightly below last year's $16,902.

That small decline suggests the market has been stable rather than volatile, which is usually helpful if you plan to resell later. A steady price pattern can make it easier to estimate future value and avoid sharp depreciation surprises.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2019 Honda Insight safe?

The 2019 Honda Insight is a Top Safety Pick Plus according to the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Every Insight comes with a reversing camera, automatic high-beam headlights, adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, and lane-keeping assist. EX and Touring trims add LaneWatch, but that system covers only the right side and does not include rear cross-traffic alert.

The safety systems are described as smooth and refined, and the car is built to Honda’s Advanced Compatibility Engineering structural standards for occupant protection.

Should I buy a 2019 Honda Insight or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 32.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 66.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The expert review highlights a redesigned, more traditional sedan layout with plenty of interior and trunk space, plus strong safety performance.

The bottom line: If you want the most balanced mix of price stability, safety, and everyday practicality, the 2019 is the one to target. If you’re especially price-sensitive, focus on listings near the low end of the range and verify history carefully before you buy.
